Zogby: Kerry 30% Dean 23% Clark 13% Edwards 9% Joe 9%
According to Zogby the race is tightening for the second day in a row. On Sat. Kerry led Dean by only 3-points 28-25 compared to a 4-point margin on Friday.

66% of Dean supporters are very strong compared to 56% of Kerry's.

3. To begin with, it says 36 Kerry 20 Dean.

Secondly, that's only Democratic voters. Zogby is polling likely voters, which includes independents.

Thirdly, this is the second day in a row showing this trend.

On edit: This was supposed to be a reply to post #2, above.

4. these are the only polls dean supporters can take solace in
if you believe it, go ahead.

but I seriously doubt Lieberman is that high, 9%? c'mon. I bet Edwards and Clark are higher too.

5. I've said from the beginning that Lieberman's going to get a lot
more support than most people think. He's got the pro-war right of the Democrats and Independents all to himself in NH. I'm surprised his support isn't higher than that.

6. wrong
other polls show Dean's slide is over and still lots of undecideds and put Lieberman within range of 9%. I don't put any solace in the polls because they are so erratic and NH polls are notorious for being wrong--like when they predicted a win for Bush over McCain in '00 and McCain won it by 18-points.

The only poll which counts is on Tuesday.

27. Sometimes I Think Zogby Makes His Numbers Up...
He gets way too much credit for his 00 presidenrial prediction...

I think he had Gore beating Simian Boy 48% to 47%...

Great... the race was essentially a statistical tie.... I think Gore beat Simian Boy by .06%

Harris had it right.... And so did Newsweek and CBS polling...

Zogyby likes to use his numbers to drive a story...

14. I have a good feeling about Tuesday.
Howard's a fighter, and his slide has CLEARLY stopped. The only question remaining is will his numbers increase rapidly enough to challenge Sen. Kerry for 1st? Cross your fingers, fellow Dean folk, because it's going to be a wild 3 days! :)

26. So do I. I began feeling that way on Tuesday morning, after being bummed
out on Monday night. This race is far from over. Kerry's campaign has done little in the upcoming states, and the media will turn on Kerry around the same time.

Maybe I overlooked it on the web-site.

17. They usually discuss the recent day poll
in the details (click more). I don't know why this information isn't more convenient to access. Friday Kerry/Dean = 26/22, Saturday Kerry/Dean = 28/25.

If you really want to, you can do some math and figure these numbers out from the averages, now that you have a few starting points.

30. ok, I did some math
Today's Zogby is from Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We know from what Zogby said that it was 26-22 for Kerry over Dean on Friday and 28-25 Kerry over Dean on Saturday. Doing my math--I think then on Thursday Kerry must have been leading Dean by 11-points 33-22.

29. Independents may actually be hurting Dean, not helping...
if the UNH/FoxNews poll is correct.

The overal results were

Kerry 37
Dean 22
Edwards 12
Clark 11

Dems only
Kerry 33
Dean 27
Edwards 13
Clark 7

Undeclared
Kerry 38
Dean 17
Clark 16
Edwards 11

They polled roughly as many undeclared as Dems.
