MSM ignores DSM this Sunday.
After yesterdays AP news dump of more incriminating DSM documents. All that the MSM can talk about is the bull crap Oil for food/hang kofi annan side show. If we give a crap about that, then we should also give a crap about what happened to the missing billions from the coalition authority, I'm sure Paul Bremmer is still busy counting the loot.

To sum it up. We are screwed. This media is solely owned by big corporations and big corp owns Bush. To expect truth and sanity to come out of our press at this point is ridiculous. The press is the enemy and we the people need to storm their offices in protest just as much as we need to storm the White House with anti-war protests.

The MSM has blood dripping off their hands. It's time to hold them accountable.

1. We aren't screwed...its an obstacle, but there are many of us & the truth
cannot be hidden....We need to keep the fight going and write our media outlets and Senators and Congress people and protest and hand out flyers and shout it from the rooftops.

2. Obstacle?
Most of the MSM are making billions off of the war through government weapons contracts. Do you think that they will ever rock the boat?

7. I admire the hell of of anyone
that can keep that kind of faith. I'm only 26, but I just don't have that in me.

It's only an obstacle, except there is another one behind that, and another, then another...

Writing angry letters to media outlets, and the men and women in Congress, protesting this or that, even though all of those letters and signs have led us to Iraq in 2005, corporations having more power than they've ever had, and no end in sight.

I'm not kidding when I say I admire that. This place has a lot of optimism, and I don't know where it comes from.

11. I do believe that the time for hope is over.
It may already be to late. I really think that the only way to turn this around is through major ongoing protests. As long as the anti-war movement sits idly by, we are just as much of an accomplice to this illegal war as the freepers.

12. So we should just all give up? Sorry, that might be you all, but I will
never give up and I would fight to the end for my country....

Sadly, many Americans seem to take the same view as you and therefore, they never leave their couch and thus, the situation we find ourselves in my friend...

Without hope, without optimism, without the desire to prevail, what purpose does one have?

3. after that Scottish fellow Galloway took 'em to the woodshed on that,
I would've thought they'd be reluctant to bring it up again.

6. Balls down to their knees.
They are diverting the freepers atention away from the facts by giving them hate to chew on. And freepers love to hate the UN. They hate any sort of unity unless it's between a man and a woman or a man and a farm animal.

9. It was some anti-abortion guy.
I guess that he was being interviewed and stated that sex with farm animals is an acceptable form of birth control. Randi Rhoades talked about it on her show a few weeks ago.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

4. We need a coordinated strategy that doesn't appear blatantly partisan.
We aren't going to win back Congress by yammering on about impeachment. The republicans control all three branches of government. This fight has to start at the ballot box. If you want to do something start talking about the corruption. The facts are there. If you need more talking points go here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=1866833&mesg_id=1866833

14. If every Dem emailed the truth to 10 people and asked
them to forward it to 10 more, how long would it take to reach everyone with an email account?

If every Dem talked to 3-5 people a week sharing the truth, how long would it take for that message to cross our nation?

If every Dem took 25 flyers and distributed them in any way, how long would it take to reach people not in the know?

If you just spoke out loud to no one in particular, while waiting in line at the grocery check out, or waiting at the doctor's, or waiting for subway ... Damn I didn't know Bush was really lying to us about Iraq! How long would it take for someone else to speak up?

There are many ways to spread the truth. We just have to be creative. Considering the decline in news readership or even people paying attention to the news I bet you reach more people than they do.

16. We now turn to Andrea Mitchell with more on the DSM.
Edited on Sun Jun-19-05 01:33 PM by Robin Hood
There is nothing here, It's old news. Nothing will come of it.

I heard Mitchell basically say that about 5 days ago. Isn't she sleeping with Alan Greenspan?
