6. Women's issues don't get talked about very much. |
|
Unfortunately, too true. I don't consider the republicans "friendly" toward any women's issues.

7. the Dean we are seeing this week in NH is the best Dean |
|
talking about issues, not acting like a rock star. This is the Dean who is at his best talking to the audience on substative issues and then taking questions. If he had done more of this in Iowa I think the results would have been different.

when I think about the difference this man could make for women and children in America.
He's talking about early childhood intervention vs. prisons. He's awesome.

A lot of people here believe that Bush Sr. let Saddam know that he would look the other way if he attacked Kuwait. I think this is true also. What bother's me is...I heard Dean speak the other night.. saying that he was in favor of Bush Sr going to war. At that time I thought it was needed, also, but now I know more about it. Does he really believe that Bush Sr was doing the right thing to go to war.? This is the only thing that bother's me about Dean. His emotional response to the results of the Iowa Caucus is not any reason for me to go against the man. I rather see a man handle is dissapointment by fighting harder, than a man that would sulk or cry about it. In my opinion, he is a fighter for what he believes in and I admire any man or woman that handles his emotions in the way that he did. He thought about what his constituents needed and pushed on hard. Good for him. Shame on those that are just picking on him for that one little event. Now please help me to understand why he is going along with Bush Sr. Another thing....I hope I obeyed your rules by not calling Bush Sr what I would like to call him, in order to vent. I thought we could vent on here, but I guess you have to be a politition on here to vent or manipulate other's. Mrs. Moose

13. Howard Dean SHINES in this venue.... |
|
He is brilliant, well read and informed on all the issues. He is principled and articulate. This is the Howard Dean that other voters will see when the second tier candidates finally drop out (which can't be soon enough for me). Howard is clearly the choice for our next POTUS.

20. "As a Doctor, I'd like to help George Bush with his rehabilitation... |
|
He has a substance abuse problem, and that substance is spelled O-I-L." (paraphrasing). Dean was speaking about developing renewable energy.
The Doctor was great this morning. He talked about the real problems people have to cope with every day. Not only can he talk about dealing with these problems, he has done it. And when he becomes President he'll stand up and fight.

21. What a great speech given |
|
Edited on Sun Jan-25-04 01:18 PM by candy331
with sincerity and truly heartfelt. What a powerful testimony to a person who really seems to grasp what Americans are truly undergoing and outlined ways to alleviate some of the problems. He sets the tones while others follow has been noted and is sooooo true. I noted that people(undecided) interviewed who actually listened to him in person are convinced he is the one whereas the media listeners only are influenced by what the media spills out, so he needs to do as many face to face public forums and meetings as he can.

on CSPAN. I can't believe anyone's going for this guy. He's a walking ambiguous platitude. Yeah, he does a great job speaking, but he isn't saying a damned thing.
