Poll question: More fun with presidential polls
This is meant to be light weight. Please don't kill each other.

1. I never really thought much of Clark before (either good or bad)...
but I'm liking him more and more for his backbone.

2. I just watched his speech on Cspan
...and I am proud to support Wes Clark. He is a great and gracious man. And he walks the walk.

3. There will be others.

It's much, much too early for candidates to declare. I am going to write Biden a direct letter condemning his approach.

It detracts from the effort of getting a Democratic House next year.

I have my suspicions that Biden has other goals with this declaration. He is trying to become a surrogate chair of the party, leading the party from his "first declared" presidential candidate position.

I really have to condemn Biden. This is most ill timed.

On edit: By the way, I selected Clark in the poll.

9. Is that because he thinks he has something to bring
or because there is something between him and the camera, and he just can't have that?

He leaves me even colder than Hillary, despite his good work on the Bolton issue. I look at him when he yells and he's almost, as someone said, a cartoon.

I could see him as sort of a Jimmy Hoffa type flamboyant leader, but not as the president.

Arrogance. Pandering. Glory grabbing (as when he tried to take it away from Kerry by suggesting that Kerry wouldn't have known how to react to the bin Laden tape without him, which was blatantly false).

And I think this announcement is going to make him burn out too soon, as I think being the early front-runner is going to be bad for Hillary as well. Too much time to destroy them.

5. Well, Hell!
Can someone give Biden a vote? He did announce today.

Sorry, couldn't give him mine. I'm a hard sell!

6. It'll be pretty funny
if Biden gets 0 votes. He thinks quite highly of himself and seems to regard himself as the spokesman for the Dem party for whatever reason?

8. Originally, in 2004 I liked Kerry. Then switched to Clark when he entered
the race. In the end, I voted for Kerry in the Ohio primary because by that point Kerry had the nomination sewed up and I didn't want to "waste" my vote. But I must say, I then supported Kerry 100%. But I really think I would have voted for Clark if he would have had a chance of winning the nomination.

10. Too early to tell
Whoever the next president will be will have a HUGE mess to clean up. I would like to have a candidate who will focus on our foreign policy that the Bush's administration has shat all over. The biggest challenge being Iraq. It would be nice to have a real leader who will try and bring this country back together. I was really impressed with Clarke's speech on C-SPAN this evening, but again it's way too early to tell.

Oh...and it would be great to have a president who is intelligent and able to form coherent statements.

Nobody has voted for Biden yet? That's not nice!
