Bush, 'Out in the Cold' on Global Warming
20 June 2005
Bush, is “out in the cold” on Global Warming. First, we find out that White House officials were doctoring Global Warming reports. Then it turns out that due to pressure from the Bush administration, the G8 has altered “key sections of the Group of Eight's plan to combat global warming before the G8's annual meeting next month.”
Phillip Cooney who stepped down from his White House position days after the NY Times expose and a call for an investigation, took a job days later with Exxon, who has influenced the Bush adminstration on Global Warming and the Kyoto Treaty.
Sound convoluted? It is. And that’s what it takes to concoct enough confusion for the players to get away with their schemes. We’ve seen it over and over again... Meanwhile, however, things are heating up Globally speaking, and George Bush is behind the eight ball, or I should say the G8’s newly weaken position on Global Warning.
