Good idea for protest discussed on Randi
There was a call on Randi Rhodes just recently where a gentleman suggested that those against the war need to get graphic with our protests. He suggested that we enlist 1724 Vietnam Vets against the war and have them deliver mannequins or models of human beings on the White House or Capitol steps. This in order to allow Americans to see what that many dead soldiers looks like.

At the same time, 100,000+ protesters lay down and show the U.S. what that many dead Iraqis look like.

The caller said he was going to get to work to organize such a protest.

So what do you think? Would you go? Would you get to typing and promoting this like crazy?

With the war going as badly as it is (and we shouldn't even legitimize it calling it a war) and Bush's numbers and Congresses falling like rocks, I really think that this could be the tipping point to get a timetable on withdrawal and a groundswell of Democratic support in the election of 2006.

Forgive me if I seem too optimistic. It is just the best mass protest idea I have heard since this whole fiasco began.

2. The millions around the world and 100's of thousands here

barely got press beyond one day of 10 minutes of news. Washington needs to be wall to wall people. And I mean enough to just about shut the city down for a sniff from MSM. I'll be there.

3. It got plenty of press.
Bush and the GOP chose to ignore the popular opinion and go to war on falsified information. We were right and they were wrong. Now we need to renew the protests to bring home the point that we do not support an "unjust" war.

4. I think we should take our protests TO THE MEDIA,...
,...since, the media will avoid us. Millions of us protested our butts off and received scant attention (especially if you compare the coverage of Shiavo protestors).

We have to take it to the media, 100K+ protestors surrounding major media centers.

That said, I believe we're getting more organized and more powerful in spreading the word,...about being lied to and betrayed and impeachment and high crimes/misdemeanors. We definitely do not want to stop that which we are becoming so much more effective.

So, yeah,...those are my thoughts.

6. September 24 is the next big antiwar mobilization in DC
This could make great street theater, especially if coordinated with proper clothing, etc.
