That's what she thought she had finally achieved when her divorce from Charles Graner was finalized in 2000 and she married Dennis Morris in 2003. The years of threats, abuse and hidden surveillance cameras had ended, at least in her home.
Little did she know that her first marriage would put her in the middle of an international controversy and some of the most highly publicized military trials in decades.

Morris said she was aware of the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuses several months before the story broke in the media.
"He was e-mailing back and forth with the kids. He would send photos. Late in 2003 he started sending photos of the prisoners, beat up, bloody, with little notes: 'Not only am I the hurter, I'm the healer. We get to do cool stuff over here.' We had always censored what he sent because of his inappropriateness," Morris said.
