Bush: "I think about Iraq every day"
It's also available as a video clip nested in the MSNBC story:

"Under fire, Bush defends policy on Iraq
'Look at all the facts,' president says to critics"

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8291794/

WASHINGTON - Under fire at home and abroad, President Bush on Monday defended his polices on Iraq and the war on terrorism, saying the Iraqi conflict will be won despite attempts by “cold-hearted killers” to derail the U.S.

“I think about Iraq every day. Every single day, because I understand we have troops in harm’s way,” the president said at a White House news conference. “We will complete the mission and the world will be better off for it.”

With more than 1,700 U.S. troops dead in Iraq, voters in the U.S. have grown uneasy with Bush’s policies, according to public polls. Some in Congress are pushing for a date certain when troops would begin withdrawing.

“Look at all the facts. That’s all I ask people to do,” the president said at a news conference with European Union leaders. Bush noted that many of the suspects at Guantanamo are not traditional war prisoners.

“The fundamental question facing our government is what do you do with these people?” he said.

2. Yes and he sleeps well at night too
(isn't that what he said a week or so ago?). I guess all that thinking about Iraq is such hard work that he sleeps peacefully :sarcasm:.

4. "...what do you do with these people?"
For starters, why not charge them with a crime and put them on trial. If you don't have enough evidence to do that, then they probably don't belong in Gitmo in the first place. :eyes:

10. did you read where even McCain said...
the same thing??? i may have missed it on this board, but i read where he said even "Eichman" got a trial- (in Israel) and that Gitmo was doing far more harm to our legitimacy as a 'moral' nation-

i'm so ashamed of us

17. I saw that the other day ...
McCain knows what's it's like to be held in one of those places, so at least he's on the right side of this issue. I wish some of the "sane" Republicans would listen to him.

6. Look at the facts?
Like the fact that 1700+ military personnel WEREN'T dead before this all began? Like the fact that Saddam had no WMD's like you insisted? Like the fact our national budget was balanced before you started this crap? He boggles me, he really does........

7. Wow! Two lies in a single sentence! Amazing!
Lie number one: I think
Lie number two: about Iraq.

Face it this clown lives in a heavily medicated cloud koo-koo land where he is challenged to make sure his socks match. Thinking is just out of the question for this bozo.

13. Two lies in one...
Good one! I also remember him saying repeatedly in the debates, "It's hard work."
The funny thing is that the FRAT BOY FROM HELL says things that are painfully obvious, then screws up his face as if he just said something profound.
I guess to George, the mere fact that he squeezed out a complete sentence is profound.

8. How pathetic
When I heard that quote, I couldn't believe how out of touch he was. He's a rich spoiled brat who's never had to think much about anything. People whose children or spouses are in Iraq probably do not have 5 minutes go by without thinking of their loved one.

9. He says it as if that covers it
I mean, I realize that the standards for Bunnypants are ridiculously low, but come on! He thinks about Iraq every day, and probably wonders why no one ran up to give him a big fucking gold star for the center of his forehead. Very good, Georgie. You think about the place you invaded illegally, where your troops are committing atrocities, and where we're stockpiling anger and enmity for generations to come. Isn't that special? And you think about it every day! Good for you!

12. the troops to him are cardboard cutouts
They have no name, no family and no considerations from this pathological liar and self proclaimed "war president"

All he thinks about every day, is , not the troops, but his "legacy", his "presidential library" and his own fame and glory. He loves his self image as "war president".

He is insane.

Not to mention the fabulous profits his bidness buddies make from their "war president"

He doesn't give crap about the troops.

They are his props when he gets to wear his military costumes and feel like a real "commander in chief" as he titillates his troops.

This from a man whose own military service to his country is questionable.

He treats the troops in the same way he treated the death and execution by his hand, of Carla Faye Tucker. As a joke.

He laughs and makes jokes about the whole thing-- about all the deaths and the suffering he caused in Iraq. It is to the clown, all a big joke.

He is a clown mocking the troops.

All of the Bushies are clowns.
