Presidential Historial: Bush in serious trouble
Edited on Tue Jun-21-05 08:44 AM by Atman
Alan Lichtman is just finishing up an interview on CNN, and they posted the numbers...Bush is doing worse than even Nixon was prior to his resignation. He pointed out that the right is doing exactly the opposite of what Bush wants/needs; they are jumping ship to cover their own asses instead of circling the wagons for him.

He said Bush's domestic agenda is completely sunk, and WILL NOT recover. He claims Bush has lost all momentum on the domestic front, and simply wields no power to get anything done. His only hope is something positive on the war front, and there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of that tunnel, either.

No republican talking heads were presented for ten minutes of uninterrupted shilling afterwards, which is perhaps the most telling sign that the chimpster is, indeed, becoming increasingly Nixonian.

2. Then he should do the honorable thing...
and resign, or fall on his own sword.

8. People should ask themselves if they would buy a 'pre-owned car'
from Bush. I would bet, not many would. And still, that is exactly what he sounds like trying to sell his pack of lies. A tacky used car salesman.

7. bush LOVES POWER and HE LOVES TO HAVE POWER ...
Edited on Tue Jun-21-05 09:07 AM by flordehinojos
since i don't trust him nor any of the bushes in the bush trilogy ... i fearfully anticipate some dastardly act on their part, to keep bush in the WHITE HOUSE which they think they own, and, which, everyone who works in it seems to think bush owns and seem to be owned by the bushes in turn.

sadly, and tragically for the country, bush will not loose his grip on power and that is a safe bet!

Also ... retaining bush in the white house is for the bushes a matter of HONOR for the bush house of goons.

11. Sadly, Bush's agenda now is all about appointments
The Republicans in congress are in the catbird seat. They could easily drive the agenda, as they did in attacking NPR last week. Many of them are way right of Bush's agenda and could get into all kinds of monkey business before the next election. Bush would have to go along for the ride. Next year is the key, folks. As Captain Picard would say, "The line must be drawn! Here!"

15. News flash: Bush doesn't care!
He is still completing his objectives: to get himself and his friends richer! Nobody is stopping him. He got revenge for his daddy, and now who knows who we will fight next. Bush does not care what anyone thinks of him.

17. Unfortunately, this administration could care Less about the polls...
Their mission is and has always been to loot our treasury. And they have succeeded. They have positioned themselves to continue to gain wealth thru their 'continuous oil pipeline' strategy and to have ALL major corporations onboard.

They have succeeded in rigging elections and, if we do nothing to truly fix election fraud, they will continue to loot and kill. They have nothing to loose. Even if we fix elections and get these bastards out of office, they have won. How many BILLIONS of dollars have gone flying out of our treasury? $8 billion lost? Scrape a $175 million FBI software system? $200 Billion, $300 Billion, for the Iraq Invasion? Where and what has that money been used for? They do not even equip our soldiers.

Can you imagine what America could have bought for $200 billion instead of being looted out of our treasury?

And here is a secret. There are only about 10 to 20 members of the House and Senate who are on the side of Democracy. The rest are indeed in on the scam. I would think that our Dems in office, if they were truly Dems, would FIGHT everyday to show Americans and the World what these evil murderous thieves are doing.

18. Loot the treasury, and build permanent bases in ME
You're right. I don't think they ever cared about what the electorate thought. This was never about what is right for America, merely about getting far enough along with their evil plans that they cannot go back. The contracts with Halliburton will not get ripped up if Bush is impeached or resigns. The money they stole will not be returned. They will all just go home and count their ill-gotten gains, flip America the bird and yell "SUCKERS!"

Edited on Tue Jun-21-05 09:22 AM by Atman
Not the whole segment, just Lichtman's closing comment, almost a warning not to take too much stock in the news of Bush's demise...
