8. Yeah, but at least they admitted he was just sidestepping the senate. |
|
It's their use of the word "sidestep" that interests me there. I mean, can you imagine them having a poll that associated a negative word like that with Bush in, say, 2003?

Everything I ever needed to know about Texas politics, I learned from "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas".
Doing the Texas sidestep.

The political fallout would be exquisite. Especially with his poll numbers already sinking like the Titanic.

|
to do it.
His policitcal capital is fading fast, he does this he pisses off the more moderate Republicans in the Senate.
"Well, the Democrats were so obstructionist I had to do it" may very well just sound like whining at this point. We just have to get the right spin on it.

Again, it's not a scientific survey. The Bushies no doubt keep telling themselves that.
Bush will let Bolton in through the back door. He'll be a disaster. It will hurt the GOP in 2006.

|
Yes 25% 26882 votes No 75% 78891 votes Total: 105773 votes
I voted, checked the reslts and get the very same total votes number you got when you checked the reslts! Have noticed this happens often with the CNN poll results. So, they must not bother to count all the votes just like the GOP owned voting machines?

i want bush to do a recess appointment. i want bolton to be a huge embarassment to the repukes and neo-cons. i want the bushies and the far right to fuck up as badly as they can.
when the situation gets bad enough, change will occur and if the dem party establishment pulls its collective head out of its ass it might find some avenue for sucess.

|
I had done a poll about a month ago, and kept deleting my cookies so I could go back and vote again, and again, and again.......
I noticed that it took about 5 minutes before the total number would change. But you never know with CNN.

75% no.
At least this isn't a lifetime appointment. In fact, if * does give him a recess appointment, we may have much evidence about how he behaves when his appointment comes up again. (Just looking for a silver lining here because * does what he wants, to hell with what's right.)

I can understand your sentiments that we should let them shoot themselves in the foot... but at what cost? Letting Bolton go in the UN is like a bull in a china cabinet. Things are too delicate for him to even get near. I think the appointment of Bolton is the most dangerous despicable appointments Bush has made so far and that includes Gonzales, Janice Rogers Brown and Condasleeza.
The appointment of this snake will bring catastrophic consequences! We have already been shown Bush's style of diplomacy (none whatsoever) and should hold him accountable..... grrrrrrrrr

That Bush wont give up. I have the feeling there is stuff damaging to more people than just Bolton on them.
Bush has to appoint him then to avoid a drawn out battle for their release.
