Being just a Director of companies is a boring job.
Not much to do plenty of time to spare.
What happen in year 2000 and 2004 during the election confused me.
In my quest to gain more understanding I stumble upon DU.
I trace an article right down to this site.

I find this site amazing fill with intelligent people. The topics covered are numerous. I get better news and info at this site than the Mass Media. So I become a DU addict.

For your info I am a 49 years old Malaysian Chinese.

My observation are my own. My advantage is I do not live behind a MEDIA CURTAIN. It is frightening when the Russian have drop their Iron Curtain and China has drop their Bamboo Curtain to discover that the US is being surrounded by a new high tech Curtain ... The Media Curtain.

The era of corporation is already here. MNC multi nation corporations are everywhere. Their influnce on every nations in this world is
enormous. Whereas a good goverment and elected representatives represent the people. Corporation controlled representatives has only one master ... Profit..... when the value of Money overcome the value
of what is good for the general public everythings go wrong.

When the greatest Nation in this world can be taken over what chance is there for others. If the battle is not been fought here where can it be fought?

What I see happing in US in simply something that happen many time in History

To me is not a question of politic but more of a group of people that will present a threat to world peace and harmony.

It is very clear that the Republicans party has change in many ways since been assimilated by these group. There big value change which l see are danger itself to US as a Nation

The facts that the US core values has also change since this same group capture the Presidency ans assimilated the administration raise numerous cause for concern to me.

In short if the people of the USA lose this battle to regain back their core values. Then this threat will be visited on other nations of this world.

It is a small world. And yes though I am a Malaysian I have also share this round ball of earth. What happen in US has a profound effect on me in many ways.

13. I got an unintentionally hilarious response some years back

on another website. A conservative poster was saying something about how Limbaugh was reliable because "he's not part of the liberal media" (which, oddly enough, is also the wingnut defense when he's caught pulling "facts" directly out of his ass).

I said something like, "Oh, please. Limbaugh wouldn't know journalistic ethics and accuracy if they bit him square on his ginormous backside. He's a big, fat, bloviating gasbag--always has been, always will be."

The conservative's only response? "Rush Limbaugh is NOT FAT!"

I had a hearty laugh over that one for quite awhile. :D

People now are starting to look back and ask "How did that happen?" I have heard from several people who know I am a pol/news junkie and will run some ideas by me and ask if I have heard them and such. Many people are openly wondering about what happened BEFORE 9/11 and what W&Co. did to prevent it.

This is mostly, from questions I have asked, from the 9/11 commission report which is NOT non accusatory (from my reading and others of many political stripes). W dropped the ball. There is little if any description of what they did about OBL et al while the Clinton years are almost boring to read through do to the corroborated details from all parties involved.

I liken this to the people raising their heads up to protest the Iraq war but before Dean (yes Dean) was the first to stand up publicly and question the all powerful Bush. Suddenly as they look around and determine that if others are doing it it is okay to do-they are starting to talk about what they know of the "233 days" of the W administration and how almost nothing was done. ON a SIDE NOTE-as my wife once told me ~"a lot people didn't know who the PResident was (in degrees) until 9/11 that was the first they had bothered to notice W"- that was his introduction and they have been wrapped in a flag on ground zero ever since.

That is my take on it kentuck. Rush is trying to prep his listeners for what is coming and what they are going to hear for the rest of the summer.
