George Will: Its not the L-Word its the M-Word
On This Week ABC...

Saying that Kerry will not be called a liberal, but a Massachusetts Liberal. The state that is driving the gay marriage issue, gave us Dukakis, etc.

I think thats interesting, because the Republicans need to make it sound fresh, thats pretty fresh sounding. What does everyone think?

MA State taxes rank 42nd in the nation last I heard...
... after a string of Republican governors. That label doesn't apply the way it used to.

Conrad Black should ask for his money back, if that's all Will can muster...

3. That George Will is the south end of a mule facing north
But the fact that the Repukes are once again dissing Yankees shows their strategy is to go for the Southern racists again. I'm a Yankee, and darned proud of it, and I'm sick of people dissing the North. To me, such a name is to be worn proudly.

4. Oh yeah? Why fight it then?
It's only going to be a monkey-on-Kerry's-back if it is reflexively resisted. Kerry IS a Massachusetts liberal. JFK was a Massachusetts liberal. What's the big deal?

16. I don't think Kerry
will be as effective as JFK with that message. He doesn't have quite the oratory, or young image thing.

6. I think it will be great to have the convention in Boston.
Boston. Kerry. Revolution. Patriotism. Fearlessness.

Bush in New York. Time to get out that picture with the goat storybook.

9. George sees all us rubes as Homer Simpson
"Go back to Massachussetts, pinko!"

I think Kerry's success is proving George is underestimating us. Kerry, fortunately, has a more accurate idea of our sophistication.

10. He's following the lead that Gillespie set out the other day
Ed Gillespie who just a week or so ago got caught citing the Drudge manipulated (gee wonder where he got that from?) Clark testimony on the Iraq war, WMD, and Saddam.

I saw parts of Gillespies speech on FOX and he was pointing out to a Repub dinner that the ADA (?) ranks Kerry as more LIBERAL than TED KENNEDY. OMG TED KENNEDY (everytime the say his name they get several thousand more in donations same with BARBARA STREISAND). Will got the memo and he will do as he is told.

Massachusetts is tied with liberalism in the eyes of a lot of Americans.

17. Lord Black would be Conrad Black
He's a Rupert Murdoch wannabe - another right wing mediawhore mogul.

Can't say I saw George Will's performance though. I usually watch the Sunday morning mediawhores out of habit, but for some reason the local ABC affiliate hasn't been carrying Stephie's show for a couple weeks
