Poll question: Why have we not caught Osama Bin Laden?
I use "we" here to mean the US government, but please substitute the name of whomever you think is responsible, if you prefer.

15. Yeah, I'm not either, but I was intrigued by their statement about
WTC 7 being demolished on purpose. If that is true, can one set up demolition in a mere 5 hours? I thought that took days. Wish someone here could explain it to me.

18. It's the advance planning that concerns me with this
I realize many things have to be true for this to shed light on MIHOP, but I'm curious now.

8. I agree..
a threat to MIHOP. They're having a hard enough time silencing Saddam while they're putting him on Iraqi death row...

4. Kinda believe Michael Moore on this one: guy on dialysis in a cave
is in final stages of renal failure. I think he's dead. And BushCo knows it. But he is more valuable to them alive so they are lying about it, one of their better skills.

5. Bush is pretty loyal to those he cares about
From what I can tell their daddy's were pretty tight. They probably used to play together when the dads were in meetings at the Carlyle (sp?) group. Maybe Bush has NO intention of capturing bin ladin.

9. It's possible the real Osama is dead, but if he's alive he does serve as a
useful boogey man-- AND clearly we aren't using enough resources to catching him if he is alive.

20. And when they couldn't put him in Iraq, they invented Hopalong Zarqawi
So now this entire "war" is based on TWO mysterious "enemies" who will never be caught, or even seen in person.

Zarqawi is nothing more than a computer generated composite sketch. And Bin Laden probably died from kidney disease, possibly even before9-11-01. It's entirely possible that his meeting with the CIA station chief in July of 2001, might have been his last official government assignment on this earth. Either that, or he was airlifted out of Tora Bora. Either has serious implications of "inside help".

11. Bin Laden is in his family Palace in Saudi....
...watching the WHOLE thing on Big Screen Plasma TV and laughing his ASS off!

bush* has given Osama everything he dreamed for.

*United Muslim World.

*Destabilized the Middle East

*Isolated the US from European Allies (and everyone else)

*Destroyed the US reputation WorldWide. The US is now the torturers, invaders, and occupiers (just as Bin Laden always preached).

*Demonstrated to the WORLD that our much talked about Love of Freedom and Democracy, our Constitution, Rule of Law, and Treaty Obligations (Geneva) are nothing but empty words.

*Forced the Richest Nation on Earth to become consumed by the FEAR of a handful of Men who don't even have a country.

*Forced the Largest Democratic Superpower to VOID their Constitution and impose the beginnings of a Police State.

*Seriously damaged (if not destroyed) the US economy for at least a generation, probably longer. (Osama helped destroy the Soviet Union the very same way.)

*The US Military is being consumed in an unwinnable prohibitively expensive WAR (just like Osama did to the Soviet Union).

*The Muslim terrorists , previously a small group of extremists rejected by most Muslims are NOW Heroic Freedom Fighters to most of the Middle East.

*A previously stable Middle Eastern Oil Country (Iraq) that tolerated
Religious Freedom (Christianity), educated the population ABOVE Western Standards, Provided Universal HealthCare (HIGH Western Standards), practiced Western Capitalism, and was a stronghold Separation of Church and State, is NOW in ruins, a training ground for Osama style terrorism and religious Fundamentalism.

****Mission Accomplished for OSAMA! *****

OSAMA WANTS bush* to extend the unwinnable Crusade to Iran.

The really embarrassing thing is that bush* could have easily won by NOT playing Osama's game.

12. I believe that Bin Laden is in Saudi Arabia
resting comfortably with his family and friends in the Royal Family - further I think the administration knows this. I think he did one final mission for the CIA then retired.

17. There simply is no long term upside for Bushco in capturing him......
As they keep telling us, this isn't about "police work", they are not out to capture bad guys. Of course, the unspoken part of that maxim is what this "War" IS all about.....:puke:

And, according to Bush, he doesn't really care or think about it.

21. Multiple answers
I really don't think the administration cares about finding him because he's more useful to them as a Boogie Man, so we've devoted inadequate resources to finding him.
