And not everyone on the liberal side. Um no, Karl. You specifically mentioned Durbin and then went into your routine about how liberals handle these things. You slandered ALL of us.

1. Yup, including soldiers in Iraq.
I'm sure nothing HE says effects "morale of the troops," though. It's just that if they're Democrats, they're not real soldiers.

9. Oh, so the Democrats in Iraq
are just there offering "therapy"

Come out little insurgent. I only want to give you "therapy"

Riiiight.

If the Repubs are so strong on terrorism, where the fuck is bin Laden. Oh that's right. They don't know and they don't care.

10. Goss knows. He's just respecting the sovereignty of some nation by not
going in there after him.

2. Fuck Rove, play the video of his whole speech.....
....he used a very broad brush leading up to his statement.

I hope someone can find a link for Rove's whole speech, not just the sanitized versions we are seeing. If so, please post it here. Thanks.

3. NBC Nightly News Tonite
Reported this. Stated that Rove was referring to the "extreme left" (or something like that) of the party and flashed a pic of Howard Dean as this was being said.

7. flashed a pic of Howard Dean as this was being said.-
Also worthy of note is the larger association. Just how blatent can it get? Dean as party Chair, IS the party face, ergo the party itself is "extreme left".

Nice job of layering RNBC.

8. In the words of Dean
if he represents the far left of the party, it would only show how far to the right the party had crept.

4. Rove slandered everyone who is not a "giggling murderer"
like him and his bosses.

I'm really pissed about it.

6. I signed the "fire Rove petition"
mentioned on another thread. I know folks who went down to Ground Zero to help with cleanup/rescue efforts. They didn't have to; they went because they wanted to help out any way they could. To my mind, these folks, who didn't ask for publicity, were the heros of the day. The ones I know were Democrats, btw, but I don't think they ever asked about political affilitation.

One of the fellows that was at Ground Zero later went to the Christmas party for the widows and orphans, trying to help with what had to be a very trying time. Again, he wasn't a cop, wasn't a fireman-he went because he was invited, and he went because he hoped he could help. Unless you knew where to look, however, you never knew that this happened, because he wasn't out for publicity.

But this is the kind of guy he is-quietly doing work to help his fellow human beings. If you check out my sig line, you'll learn his name.

11. The fact that he has to clarify his comments
Shows that they're feeling a little heat, for a change. Keep hammering.

12. From David Corn - Rove is a hypocrite (re: Speech from April)
http://www.davidcorn.com/2005/06/roveing_from_th.php

<snip>

Karl Rove is a hypocrite. I know that's hard to believe. And you're going to need a chunk of proof before accepting that conclusion. So let me give it my best shot.

In April, Rove delivered a speech at Washington College in Chesterton, Maryland. Trying to come across as a statesman (instead of a hack political strategist), he urged participants in today's tough political and policy debates to engage in high-minded discourse. "Most people I know on both sides of the aisle," he remarked, "believe in the positions they take." He continued, "Unless you have clear evidence to the contrary, commentators should answer arguments instead of impugning the motives of those with whom they disagree."
