Ahead in N.H., Kerry Defends Record Against G.O.P. Attacks
Senator John Kerry hit back today at Republican claims that he is too liberal and out of step with voters, by defending his record on issues from war in Iraq to gay marriage and saying he was the only candidate who could work across party lines to unite the country.

<snip>

Today, Mr. Kerry appeared on morning television shows, appearing against the backdrop of a cold winter scene in New Hampshire where he has been courting voters in the first primary in the country, meeting people without health insurance in diners, he said, and trying to get his message across about restoring jobs and fair trade.

I'm complemented that they're attacking me that way," Mr. Kerry said on "Fox News Sunday," when asked about the speech by Mr. Gillespie. Secondly, it proves what I'm saying, that I'm the strongest person to go against George Bush, or they wouldn't be attacking me this early."

On the CBS News program "Face the Nation," Mr. Kerry countered that the Bush administration, for its part, was governing like it had received an "ideological mandate from the right" and was using gay marriage, for example, as an issue to drive a "wedge" between Americans.

<snip>

Mr. Kerry said in both his CBS and Fox interviews that Vice President Dick Cheney had "misled" the American people on the issue of Iraq's weapons and the speed with which Iraq could deploy such weapons. He said that the administration must allow a hearing to set the record straight.

"This administration has to be accountable for that," he said.

He also said he would not raise taxes on the middle class. "But I am going to roll back the tax cut for the wealthiest Americans."

2. Kerry will be attacked by the Left and the Right
in addition of being attacked by Bush. Kerry will have such a hard time defending his many flip-flops that he will look like a pathological liar to the average voter.

Lieberman is right when he attacks Kerry for his waffling. Lieberman gets our respect. Kerry gets our contempt.

Kerry is unelectable!

5. Kerry will be attacked by those ...
Kerry will be attacked by those who want to see the continuation of the Bush Imperial Presidency, and are so stubborn in their beliefs that they would compromise the future of our democracy in order to sustain their own narrow and selfish views of the world.

I toured the Dean camp in Iowa, as did many Iowans, I listened to their selfish cries and witnessed their mean-spirited ways. And like many Iowans saw first hand that it is a mean-spirit and selfishness that are the core values of his campaign.

This nation does not need a liberal version of George Bush's meanness.

I'm fully aware that many will see Kerry's life of service to this nation as a threat, and they will use history and changing values to distort his record, and present his record out of context with the times. This is expected.

Those who bash a man or a woman who has spilled blood for this country, in preference to those who ignored their duties must be viewed with serious reserve -- whether those people are on the right or left I don't care.

I have no time for vet-bashing candidates and their constituencies. I seriously doubt the rest of the nation does either.

6. Kerry belongs to the anti-Semitic Order of Skull & Bones
George Bush, Skull & Bones
and the New World Order
A New American View
International Edition White Paper
Paul Goldstein and Jeffrey Steinberg
April 1991

This secret fraternity is based at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where many of the leading members of the U.S. government and the American intelligence community received their formal education. The Order, as it is referred to by its members, is a bastion of White Anglo Saxon Protestant (WASP) culture, which is at the core of the American 20th century outlook. The reader will learn that President George Herbert Walker Bush's concept of the New World Order is an old idea, one which has its origins in the philosophy and beliefs of the secret Skull & Bones fraternity. Today in particular, this is the prevailing outlook of the U.S. government, many of whose most influential members, like the president himself, are part of the Skull & Bones network. These men seek to recreate the American imperium of the immediate post-World War II period, an era which President Bush frequently refers to as "the American Century." The powerful men of Skull & Bones genuinely believe that they have a strategic and moral "right" to control world affairs. Consequently, they take upon themselves the authority to crush any rivalrous threat to U.S. imperial leadership, whether by current allies, such as Japan, Germany or Great Britain, or by Cold War adversaries, like the Soviet Union. The members of the Order, due to their narrow WASP upbringing, view with particular suspicion the maneuverings of Zionist Israel and its affluent, influential lobby in the United States.

7. Kerry can take the blows and keep fighting.
Edited on Sun Jan-25-04 02:10 PM by Feanorcurufinwe
After these last 3 years, the nation is hungry for leadership, and as was shown in Iowa, when they get a chance to see John Kerry without the media filter, they see a leader.

Bush is history!
