Poll question: Is the four-man race good for the party's prospects? |
|
I think it is:
* It keeps the spotlight on the interesting Party--our Party, which is now (finally) always bashing Bush. We hog up the media oxygen
* We have four guys attacking Bush, while Bush has to disperse his fire among four guys
* The internecine wounds are less than in a two-man race
* Candidates has time to recover from gaffes, since the media narrative must keep moving. Notice Dean's quiet recovery from his disastrous speech (fair or not, it was so)
* We can even squeeze a policy disussion in here and there!

1. Poll Kick: Are there any drawbacks to a four-man race? |
|
What's so good about uniting behind one candidate early?
The only danger I see is if there is a debacle during the convention.

4. the main drawback is their criticizing each other, which could hurt the |
|
nominee in the GE.
If they can refrain from doing that, and instead "sell" themselves, great.

2. All of what you listed plus the nation can be confident that we put a lot |

of thought into who we run and that, therefore, we will run the person who is best for our nation.

3. It really is in our tactical interest to maintain a 4 way race thru the |
|
convention.
Keep the corporate media and the RNC guessing.

We know that the Pukes already have a September stranglehold on the media mapped out with the combination of Junior's coronation mixed with the 9-11 hypefest. And depending on how desperate Team Bush is for an October Surprise, whether its another terror attack or merely the miraculous sudden capture of Osama Bin Laden, they will be trying to hijack that entire month as well. That leaves August as effectively a one month campaign against the Fraudministration. With the stranglehold these bastards have on the media, that's really not a lot of time to convince "middle America" to fight the FAUX/MSRNC/CNN brainwashing.
Realistically, this race will be done by the end of March. For better or for worse. Hopefully better.
