Jay Severin Agrees with Kennedy and Levin

Severin is as you know, a rapid right wing radio host and now contributor to Tucker's new show.

Yesterday, while in bumper to bumper traffic, I listened to his show.

He played Kennedy's exchange with Rummy. He played Levin's comment about our opening the door in Iraq and that only Iraquis can go thru the door and we can't keep door open indefinitely. He thought Levin's comment was the single best statement about the situation he has ever heard.

He said he agreed with Kennedy and Levin. He did not agree with Rummy. Now Jay thinks we went to Iraq b/c we thought there was WMD and the moment we determined there wasn't WMD - we should have left.

He dismissed a caller who said the true test of whether we are winning in Iraq is whether we have had any further attacks in the US.

He also said earlier this week that if Bush lied about thinking there was WMD that he ought to be impeached and imprisoned.

3. When an idiot r-winger with less marbles than a satchel....
Full of ten cent stamps starts questioning whether the pResident lied or not, things are not going good.

When hicks start thinking something's fishy and were too dumb to research what that fishy thing is there is trouble brewing.

6. Curious about what Levin said:
"Indefinitely"

I was watching Wes Clark the other day and he also used the word "indefinitely." He said that the Iraqi people must understand that we will not be there indefinitely. Also, he added toward the end of his comment that "We are giving 100%, and the Iraqis must give 100%."

General Scales who spoke from the "other side" repeated "stay the course" several times. WKC did not back down.

I guess what I'm wondering is if Levin and Clark are using the same book. I know that an exit strategy doesn't exist, but talking about a time table leaves people who oppose the war open to the yadiyadi of emboldening the insurgency. So we see here that rightwingers and thus, moderates respond very well to reminder that we can't stay "indefinitately." In fact, they like it. Could this talking point cut bush off from his wet-dream of permenant bases?

I donno? But hearing the same thing from two different Democrats perked my ears up. We need to listen carefully.
