Sunday June 26th, the U.N. International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.

Go to the Amnesty International, U.S.A. web site to find an event at the link below:

<http://www.amnestyusa.org/>

I already missed the Atlanta event that was held today,

ATLANTA. GA (2005-06-24) This Sunday marks the United Nations' International Day, in Support of Victims of Torture.

And Amnesty International is hosting several dozen demonstrations around the nation, calling for an end to alleged human rights violations at U.S. detention facilities, including Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.

WABE's Kate Sweeney went to one such demonstration on Friday in Midtown Atlanta.

If anyone is going from Atlanta to Tallahassee, Florida, let me know.

BTW: I noticed that Alabama and Mississippi are, both not having any event. Something to work on for next year.
