Is the spine implant Kerry has received from the good Doctor temporary
or permanent? My great concern about Kerry winning the nomination is that he has become Dean Lite to win it, and he will then become Bush Lite to win the Presidency and to hold onto it. Is "Bring It On" just a pose? It doesn't seem to suit him very well.

1. He cannot be DeanLite
Because he actually has a liberal record on issues. Thank goodness, Kerry's records are open to scrutiny.

Also, he has one for over 35 years, before most voters even knew about "the good doctor".

8. Maybe he was abducted?
Most of the people on X-Files have had abduction/implant issues.

Let's get Mulder on the case.

7. Depends on which way the wind blows. His "spine" is very fragile.
His spine was tested with the IWR vote. After that, the question is what flavor of Jell-O is it?

9. All we are going to see from the Kerry campaign is
dirty politics. I wish him well on his next term in the senate.

 Kerry's conundrum
Pro-gay in just about every other way, Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry says he just won't support same-sex marriage

What exactly is your argument?
Kerry:My argument is that marriage is a union between men and women as defined through centuries. End of argument. Period. I don't make procreation or any other argument about it. It's just the way I've seen the issue.
Advocate: When you say it's "the way I've seen the issue," it sounds like you might be open to changing your position.
Kerry: Will I come to a different view sometime down the road? Who knows?

12. I honestly think...
that once Dean is President that he will support Gay Marriage. I think the only reason he is holding off right now is because... well it's obvious.

At the very least I know Dean won't stand against it, and that's more than what can be said for Bush. (And from reading that maybe Kerry as well.)

I don't know what is. How long before it gets locked? If it doesn't, are we allowed to respond 'in kind'?

16. I've always thought Dean should get some credit for this
way back when the dems scored some points with the Wilson revelation, I thought they were in part forced by Dean to do that. I could be wrong, but I think it's possible. And they saw that it didn't kill them and kept going after Bush. Good for everyone.

Not sure what doctor gave him a spine implant, but the thing is defective, that's for sure. I haven't seen a spine on Kerry all week.

18. Kerry does not seem to have the will to stand up to the right wing when
it is no longer politically safe. I also don't think he will last long as the frontrunner. The feelgood media stories will be over soon (Wednesday?). The media will get tougher on him at the same time the primaries move into states where the Kerry campaign has not done much at all, so his fall can come quickly. After Tuesday, it will still be a nomination that is very much up for grabs for the four leading candidates.

strong, decisive president.
