Bush handles terrorists with ----- indictments

If Bush was a real man, he would have had some goons take this guy out into the woods and do a "Deliverance" on him.

Instead, they indict him -- like a bunch of pussies. Maybe they gave him some therapy, too.

This morning, a federal grand jury indictment charging Nuradin M. Abdi, a 32-year-old Somali national, was unsealed in Columbus, Ohio. Abdi was arrested on immigration charges and has been held by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement since November 28, 2003.

I note that an indictment is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. The charges against Abdi are:

Conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists;
Conspiracy to provide material support to al Qaeda; and,
Two counts of fraud and misuse of documents.
According to the indictment and the government's motion to detain Abdi, he was allowed to immigrate to the United States in January 1999. According to the detention motion, the Government will offer evidence that, with the exception of some basic biographical data, virtually all of the information Abdi submitted related to his immigration status was falsified.

1. Just to refresh memory...

... Iyman Faris, this guy's alleged co-conspirator, was the guy who was accused of plotting to dismantle and destroy the Brooklyn Bridge with the tools in the truck that he drove as his regular job... and of giving sleeping bags and phone cards to his other "al-Qaeda co-conspirators" (that was the "providing material support" charge).

In Faris' case, he pleaded guilty when the government threatened to designate him an "unlawful combatant" and hold him indefinitely without trial. He later withdrew his guilty plea on advice of counsel. Don't know where that case is at the moment.
