When Cheney dies, who will the WH nominate to replace |
|
That would kick off the 2008 campaign, or not.

4. Cheney will be replaced before 2008 |
|
The GOP will not go into 2008 without a front runner picked by Bush and Rove. It may be Condi or it may be someone else.

13. it might not be a frontrunner |
|
if not a grand master like Cheney or his crew it might just be a symbolic filler like Rockefeller was. Dole? With many outrageous appointments to fight over maybe Bush will reduce the Veep position to an honorific again. Some old charismatically toothless "unifier" or non-entity with a lot of money.
A real national emergency might mean they can sneak in Jeb. One can sense this is a matter of possibility but debate among the Bushes. They like sneaking into the limelight. This is too much an unnecessary gamble.
But no way will the non-Bush butt kissers like McCain or Hagel or Guiliani be given the nod. The goal will be the same Nixonian heirs and Bush dynasty to maintain absolute control.
In this the McCains are deluded and as foolish as Democrats refusing to deal with Bush realities, but for nothing the GOp loyal princes have sold much of their pathetic souls.

retain power! That's why McCain helped campaign for bush*. He had to prove to them he could be a good Republican. The Funders will make a fuss but he'll get the nod anyway. Who else can they vote for? They will be Anybody but a Democrat. It's going to be a tough battle. Too many Independents and yes some Democrats still love him!
