My hat is off to all Dems who have shown a fighting spirit.

I don't know if anybody else has noticed, but if you look at the period of time from when Howard Dean became DNC chair, when Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi began their coordinated efforts to stand up to the Bush "mandate", and people like General Wesley Clark and Barbara Boxer have gone out of their way to stand tall and proud for our party - President Bush's popularity has tanked, and support for his policies has considerably diminished.

Republicans have been caught off guard by these bulldog Dems, and many of them are starting to wake up to the reality of their drunken-power fest.

I wish we did not have to "fight" for what we believe is right - but all the proof we need that it works is in the waking media, and the fact that we are making people like Karl Rove and Dick Cheney emerge from their fundraising and shadows to try their best to bite back.

We will win. The policy support has always been on our side, we just needed the country to see that we were willing to fight for it.

Keep up the good work, grassroots - the driving force behind the Bulldog Dems.

3. I totally agree
Reid and Pelosi have done a great job standing up against the Rethugs.

You have to say thanks to John Conyers for investigating the election and the Downing Street minutes. Stephanie Tubbs Jones stood up with Barbara Boxer against the Electoral College vote.

Russ Feingold has fought against the Patriot Act and for our civil liberties and for balanced budgets.

11. The competency or lack thereof
Of our County DEC Chair.

The club, which used to have 170 members, is down to 35. Repubs have swept all the elections for the last 4 years.

20. Thomas Paine is a true hero of mine
thanks for mentioning him.

I would recommend everyone read "Common Sense" probably the most adequately named document ever to be written.
