The reason there are so many Iraqis being killed ? |
|
Because it was decided just before the last election, so there would be a minimum report of American casualties, to put the Iraqi "trainees" more in charge of "security". The new "policemen" would be the new security and the American forces would "pull back" to permit them to do their jobs. Unfortunately, the number of Iraqis killed has grown exponentially since the American election. Also, the Americans are still being targeted. However, rather than just the "Sunni Triangle", Americans are now being attacked in Mosul and other assumed "secure" locations and the death toll for Americans continue to rise, even though the decision was made to pull back and let the Iraqis have more "responsibility".
