Wolf Blitzer is a kool aid drinking idiot!
I just watched the interview with Ted Kennedy. Wolf just spewed WH talking points with every question! Then he had the gall to ask this question:

"Did the 1700 American troops that were killed die in vain?"

Why do they get away with this? That is just shit journalism plain and simple, let's ask a question that forces the person bieng interviewed to state that americans died nobely for their country and thereby indirectly support their cause. It is an intentional propaganda technique and it makes me furious. Wolf Blitzer is a sick joke!

18. Indeed. It is part of Time Warner. I suggest you study
the scope and history of this particular outfit before you make unfounded statements of that nature. I'd suggest starting with a biography of Henry Luce, son of a Christian missionary:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Luce

CNN is part of an enormous and very wealthy megacorporation, centered around the news magazines originally created by Luce. AOL Time Warner holdings now include, among other things, AOL and its subsidiaries; Time, Life, Fortune, Sports Illustrated, The Atlanta Braves, Turner Entertainment, HBO, Warner Brothers and a hell of a lot of high end real estate including buildings in Rockefeller Center.

They don't need money from Israel to pay Wolf Blitzer's salary, nor would they accept it. If they scraped all their pennies together they could probably BUY Israel and have plenty left over to pay Wolf Blitzer twice.

Here's a link, I'll make it easy for you:

2. Ted Kennedy should have had the balls to say, 'YES, THEY DID!"
i just wonder what they are going to say if, one these days, in answer to their question, "Did the 1700 American troops that were killed die in vain?" someone has enough courage and honesty to say, YES. THEY DID!"

or, if in answer to that same question, someone might say, i know you are the one who asks the questions here. i am not going to answer that but i am going to let you think about it against the facts, not the emotions, and you can answer your own questions...and you don't have to do it right now

someone ought to just have the courage.

12. I know! Maybe if it's out in the open folks'll stop blaming the messenger
and blame the assholes who sent them over there in the first place to fight this awful war.

If they died in vain, it certainly isn't the fault of the person who speaks the truth about it.

4. Haven't you heard?
Wolf Blitzer got his Diebold stamped check in the mail yesterday. He was sent in by Karl Rove to do a bit of damage control on the "DSM" non-issue by not reporting on it!

5. Wolf sucks
and he has sucked for a long time. His show is an insult to the concept of journalism. I hope he fades into obscurity where he belongs - soon.

The day of Conyers' DSM hearings he spent the whole show on that Cali earthquake where no one was harmed.

Complicit scum.

9. Okay, here's an answer
Did the 1,700 (your mileage may vary) die in vain, Wolf? Hmmmm. That's a good question. What did Dick Cheney say when you asked him that question? Or Donald Rumsfeld? Or George W. Bush? Or Colin Powell? Or Condoleezza Rice? Or Tom DeLay? Or Bill Frist? Or Dennis Hastert? Because as I'm sure you know, this little imperialist gambit was written and produced by the Republican leadership, so I'd think that would be a question you have asked of them over and over again, right?

They must be short handed or lazy at CNN. Wolf (to producer): "Do you have my questions ready for Kennedy?"
Producer: "Right here, Wolf!" (hands Wolf in-coming fax from WH responding in advance of Senator Kennedy's appearance) "Okay, 3-2-1,...(signals to Wolf he's on-air)

10. Kennedy's answer honors our soldiers, challenges Bush to change policy,
Edited on Mon Jun-27-05 10:37 AM by flpoljunkie
altho, interestingly, he said "policymakers." Can't argue with that! Kennedy had been arguing earlier in the exchange that we must make changes, if we are to succeed in Iraq.

Transcript of the exchange:

BLITZER: Have those 1,700 U.S...

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0506/26/le.01.html

BLITZER: All right, I'll ask you this final question, then I'll let you go, Senator Kennedy.

Have these 1,700 military personnel who have died in Iraq died in vain?

KENNEDY: Absolutely not. They are honorable men and women that have served this country. We have the utmost respect and honor for them, each and every one of them individually.

We've lost 35 from my own state of Massachusetts. I know those families. I have enormous respect and admiration for those families, and for each and every service man and woman that is serving in Iraq. They are doing an honorable job.

It's the policymakers that we have to alter and that we have to change.

BLITZER: Senator Kennedy, thanks for spending a few moments with us.

KENNEDY: Good.

23. This is why the RW has smeared Teddy Kennedy so much
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 10:54 PM by brentspeak
Because they know that he is outstanding in front of TV cameras. He's one of the best speakers on behalf of the Democrats the party has ever had. Therefore, the Republicans have always focused their mud-slinging against him.

A lesser Dem would have said "Yes, they died in vain."
After which, we would be the minority party -- forever.
