Do taxpayers contribute more to PBS or C-SPAN... |
|
Understanding that C-SPAN gets their money from cable subscribers, but it was also done by legislation, similarly to PBS. The lady on C-SPAn this morning said that taxpayers paid about $1 dollar per year for PBS...Any numbers on these two media entities?

1. C-SPAN doesn't get government funding |
|
The legislation relating to it was to allow the organization to carry live broadcasts of the House and Senate.
So however much taxpayers are contributing to PBS, it's more than they're giving to C-SPAN---other than indirectly through cable subscriptions.
