Santorum is off his rocker
"In an oped for Catholic Online, Rick Santorum writes that "When the culture is sick, every element in it becomes infected. While it is no excuse for this scandal, it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm."

http://capitolbuzz.blogspot.com/2005/06/santorum-blames-boston-for-catholic.html

WTF?

I think he and his friends are pissed that "liberalism" brought with it an ability to talk somewhat openly about sexual matters and teens who talk sink ships.

Once ppl start having an open and honest talk about stuff from their past they are more likely to finger their abusers...if the atmoshere is accepting and non-threatening.

They no-likey.

Was he the one about box turtles?

4. Reminds me of the South Park episode. ..
where the pastor is accused of pedophilia. He goes to the Vatican to see what the church is doing about the problem, and all they can talk about is how to shut the kids up!

Oh, and God is like this giant bug alien thing.

Maybe you have to see it.

11. Churchwise, it is one of the most overall open areas in the country
But of course, it mostly depends on each Bishop. The most regressive diocese in the country is Lincoln, NE. Yet, for example the New Ulm diocese in western Minnesota. The previous late Bishop was pretty open-minded, and the overall red areas did not mind them, most really liked him. His replacement is very backwards and his public newspapers letters are not much more than GOP Op-Eds, very little relvant material.

6. Oh, I can't stand him.
He is despicable.

Am I surprised that he said these things? No. These comments are right in line with the rest of the trash that comes out of his mouth.

7. I would give $1,000 to his campaign
if he were willing to yell at the top of his lungs that Boston is to blame for the sodomy that occured in the middle of Fanueil Hall at 2:30 am on a saturday night while wearing a Yankees jersey.( he'd be dead so the $ is a moot point).
