dean may piss of some people but so does bush, so that shouldnt worry us. He can mobilize people, is a terrific speaker, and very charismatic. He can use his present position as a springboard. We need to make sure he is always the democrat that news shows turn to for comments. Priceless publicity. DEAN IN 2008!!

In an interview the other day he was asked if he would be pursuing Presidential ambitions in 2008 and he said he was content with his current position.

I'll stand by Kerry until I'm convinced someone else is better. Much as I like some of the others listed, I haven't been convinced yet that any of them would better support my values then Kerry. But, I am trying to keep an open mind!!
(OTOH - McCain?? Hagel?? Get real. Especially about backstabber McCain).

I really think McCain is too old to be a serious candidate. Hagel wouldn't win in the primaries. They'll pick another RWer to rev up the base.

What was your rationale for leaving Kerry out? Obviously he hasn't said he's going to run again, and there's probably an issue with his Senate seat coming up in 2008 too. But afaik he is still a possible.

|
Edited on Mon Jun-27-05 07:45 PM by Corey_Baker04
Kerry is doing the most right now for the Democratic Party and continually getting the least respect of Democrats. Why is it that after all this talk of DSM Kerry finally stepped up to the plate and went to the Democratic Senators for help but could only get 9 to sign on?
Kerry is working on election reform, the war in Iraq and so much more, where is everyone else at huh? Where is Wesley Clark, being a news anchor on some corrupt news station, why is it Kerry is fighting the hardest and getting the least.

23. Wes Clark Must Broaden His Appeal |
|
He has to be more than an X-General, and that is how he comes across. He has nothing to say other than it have a military link. Don't get me wrong, I think he is one of the two or three most qualified persons in the party for the Presidency (Clark, Dean, Gore - in alphabetical order). Clark could be it but he simply has to refer less to his military experience and rely more on his nailed-to-the-wall dead on correct logical arguments, analysis, and conclusions.

36. Yep.. he has to do something.... |
|
..to broaden his appeal.. :eyes:
C'mon Thom... General Clark wins EVERY SINGLE POLL at every single Democratic or Independent website in existance at any given time!
;) ...I'd say the General isn't doing half bad when it comes to appeal.
Iowa couldn't vote for him.. therefore, Kerry was the nominee last time around.
But appeal? The General is overflowing with appeal! :bounce:

26. Hey, where is John Kerry's name? |
|
How can you conduct a 2008 Presidential poll and not include John Kerry? He has continued to do a wonderful job representing our interests and has been pr oven correct on just about everything he predicted about this war and this administration, except for the draft, and that just may be making a comeback. He has my vote, so I suppose I'll have to pick none of the above.
