Somebody tell me about Dick Cheney....
I keep hearing he's in the hospital. But I read somewhere that it was for an old football injury??? Why would he be hospitalized for that?

Also, if he dies, who becomes VP?

16. I hope you are right about that...
because if Bush picks a pro-gay, pro-gun control, pro-choice VEEP to replace Cheney---all hell will break loose on the Religous Right base of the party. There is NO WAY IN HELL, that a Republican like that will ever be elected president, IMHO.

2. Apparently it's because of his heart problems. I think he had another
stroke. I can't remember who is pres if he dies, but I know that eventually it gets to Dennis Hastert. Not sure how it works exactly.

4. It goes to Hastert if both Bush and Cheney drop.
If it's only Cheney, then Bush gets to pick.

13. I know that Bush gets to choose the next VP,
but, does the Senate have to confirm the choice? Can't remember. And, if they do, can there be a filibuster of that nomination?

14. And, here's another question...
I know that the President and VP cannot be from the same home state. What is Condi's home state? Come to think of it, I believe it's LA or AL. But, could it be TX?
