This is toughest speech Bush has ever written.... |

Oh, you say he doesn't write his own speeches? Does that mean, that on such an important issue as war and peace, he will be spouting someone else's words? Does that mean he is only a puppet that is out front selling the ideas of someone else? Who would that be?

For heaven's sakes, EVERY damned, fucking speech he delivers is ALWAYS the toughest or most important or the speech of his life or some such pure unadulterated crap. And has there been ANY speech of his, especially lately, that's been anything but ho-hum? It's probably a whole lot of the same LIES and crap and spin and tired, empty, meaningless, and fantasy-based talking points and buzz phrases that he and his various mouthpieces and surrogate wives and nannies have already worn out. More of the same, piled higher and deeper. He has to deliver it on a military base because, like deeply unpopular presidents of the past - LBJ and Nixon - he doesn't dare risk it in a regular public venue where he'll be subject to catcalls and hissing and booing and unfriendly signs and t-shirts and people saluting with only one of their five fingers. He can't go anywhere that can't be 100% controlled and battened down, because he can't handle the heat out there from ordinary Americans who are slowly but surely waking up to the utter fiasco he and his policies and decisions are and everything he's done to screw them. He has a long and well-documented track record for underwhelming speeches, especially recently. I expect the reaction to be underwhelming. As usual.

These guys are the experts at manipulation marketing. Get ready for several after September 11ths and equating our 4th of July symbolism to Iraq's sovereign government anniversary...a measure of "success". Toss in a few brutal regimes and vicious terrorists, pour a helping of people who kill innocent civilians, place the bowl on a table draped in the American flag and you have...
a patriotic salad Americans will eat up like starving exiles.

it's gonna be brilliant, tough, bold--I believe is the word. Let's hope there's so much flack today that he just downright does another one of those Debate #2 performances.

13. Tonight's speech will be about liberals and how we hate America |
|
The talking point of the day from the GOP side is that it is the Democrats and anti-war people who are at fault for the failures in Iraq. After all, if we fawned over Bush like the rest of the country did, none of the looting would have occurred, no torture, no stealing of taxpayer money, no napalm, etc.
It is all about framing Iraq failures on liberals and then saying that if we lose Iraq, you know what hippy to beat the shit out of. The damned liberals lost us Iraq just like they lost us Vietnam...they're traitors!!!!
That is going to be their message tonight. They are cornered and will lash out at anyone. Now how are we going to respond?
