Coalition of Bloggers Against Bolton Announced
www.StopJohnBolton.com Announces Coalition of Bloggers
Coalition will Coordinate Message Strategy and Campaign Efforts

Reaches Audience of Over 374,000 Readers Per Week

WASHINGTON, DC - The team of Democrats that launched www.StopJohnBolton.com, announced the formation of the Coalition of Bloggers Against John Bolton. The group will coordinate message strategy and campaign activites among netroots activists who oppose the nomination of John Bolton. The coalition reaches an audience of over 374,000 readers per week and will be led by prominent progressive bloggers such as Steve Clemons of The Washington Note, Sean-Paul Kelley of The Agonist, Brian Hopkins of DemBloggers, and Brad Friedman of Brad Blog.

"By focusing on the essential documents and Bolton's inherent legitimacy issues if appointed during a recess, bloggers like Steve Clemons and others have been instrumental in in altering the terms of debate in the media," said Sean-Paul Kelley, of The Agonist. "This is clearly a victory for responsible blogging. "

The team of bloggers vowed to continue pressuring the Senate to vote against Bolton, after thousands of people signed the petition. "Until the Senate receives the information it is entitled to, progressive activists will ensure that John Bolton is not confirmed," said Aaron Ament, co-founder of www.StopJohnBolton.com. "The Senate has a right to these documents, and the American people deserve to know the truth behind allegations that John Bolton used them to spy on rivals in the bureaucracy."
