Could the Repukes hate PBS because
the average IQ of viewers of Sesame Street is higher than the average IQ of the Republican brainwashed?

1. They hate PBS for the same reason they hate the "liberal media"
They hate both because they AREN'T conservative. That's it-anything or anyone who doesn't repeat their BS is liberal.

4. That will soon change. They are turning it into another RW propaganda
outlet.

2. Yes, and also Sesame Street teaches things Republicans don't like
such as be a good friend, help others, tell the truth, etc.

3. More to the point

SS teaches that we are all equal and to respect individual and group differences. That's is very OK and good to be different.

This applies to all races and ethnic groups, and people with disabilities too.

Fundamentalists can stand this.

Heh. We're back around to the thread earlier about conservativism being about holding on to white supremacy.

7. Yes, and I think
one reason they won't mention is that there's a lot of science and nature programming, and they would rather we not learn anything about those subjects, too. It would make it lots easier to sell their propaganda if we didn't know the real truth.

5. They hate PBS for the same reason they hate so many other things.
They're told to.

8. I think they cite Bill Moyers and Buster the Rabbit, but I
think they are just red herrings, Bill Moyers has been retired. I think the real reason they want to kill PBS is because of the real fair and balanced journalism of The News Hour With Jim Lehrer and the docmentary Frontline which continues to show the ineptitude of the Bush administration's handling of the war in Iraq. This is way too much light and truth for neocons.

P.S. It is a neck and neck race between IQ of *Sesame Street viewers and neocons, however it is a slam dunk with Sesame Street viewers having triple digit leads in family values 100 to 0.

*Under the age of seven.

9. A recent poll showed...
that some 75+ % of PBS/NPR viewers/listeners knew the facts about Iraq (on Saddam & 9/11, WMD) while only some 30% of FOX viewers knew the truth.

That tells you exactly why they want to crush PBS/NPR.
