Same old, same old, except...
I used to read (and reply) to the Dean supporter's posts, even to the folks who appeared to spend their entire lives hunting down things to hit Clark with, but I never doubted their sincerity or honesty.

I have been involved in politics a long time, including a stint in Brooklyn's Coney Island, and I thought that it was almost endearing to see the sincerity and emotion his people put into their defenses of their candidate, and yes, into their attacks on mine. They might have been mistaken and ill-informed, at least in my opinion, but they thought they were following the truth.

The latest round of attacks on Clark (and Dean), coming from supporters of another "front-runner", is a different story. I know I may be stepping perilously close to the DU boundaries here, or even a itsy bitsy bit over them, but I cannot believe that posters can put up deceptive and misleading information on DU and THEN defend it, knowing and sometimes acknowledging it is just that.

At this point I think we no longer have to worry about the Freepers invading this website.

2. Are you fucking joking me? have you read the GD2004?
Most of it is trash about Kerry. If anyone is attacking clark it is Dean supporters. The Kerry supporters here like Clark for the most part. I keep hearing of attacks on Clark, but I rarely see the attacks. The attacks on Kerry for the most part are plastered all over the forum.

I don't know if I am over the line here, but I am calling it like I see it. Your saying that supporters of my candidate are attacking yours will not change my liking him. I will not allow this to cause a division among a group of people who think very alike.

Clark is an honorable man and by the way, so is Kerry.

This morning Kerry said that Clark called him about his general/lieutenant comment. They decided not to run that kind of campaign and Kerry made some very possitive remarks about Clark. That is where this stands.

3. No, he did it; no, she did it; NO - THEY did it!!
Quite frankly, it's the finger pointing that's over the line, imo.

I think mike's final sentence is the closest to being accurate, and I see no need to accuse one another's "supporters" of broad brush attacks..
