Anyone gonna watch tonight just for the comedic value?

And if so, what funny antics do you hope the chimp favors us with? My favorite is his latest trick. He enunciates a simple word V E R Y S L O W L Y, pauses, lets his brilliance sink in, then gives a definition. After that, if he's not too tired, he beams with pride and looks around for praise. During the training sessions, I think this the point at which rove handed him a banana.

What funny trick are you looking forward to?

1. I use to think he was funny...

like it was all a big joke ya know. I never missed a speech just to see his next gaffe but after that last election, I just do not think he is that funny anymore.

I use to have friends that couldn't even watch him for a second without getting pissed ...and now I am in that camp.

...but hey....someones gotta laugh!

2. I want to watch him spend that last bit of capital

He knows he has to make it good becuase I think this is his last chance. So, I think I'm going to be watching a guy at a slot machine spending his last dollar.

3. Actually, I can't watch at all

I only know about the definition thing because I heard it described on DU and then I saw a clip somewhere. He makes me sick, and I have to watch my anger level. Nevertheless, I admire people who can be more detached. And sometimes I still enjoy hearing about what an idiot he is.

My favorite funny trick is when he pulls a Gilligan, saying one word when he means another. (i.e. disassemble for dissemble) It's a real head-slappin' hoot.

If you can detach yourself, however temporarily, from the implications of the humor, there is a lot to laugh at in these performances.
