"We will stay in the fight until the fight is won" |

I hate the bellicose motherfucker who uttered these words in a speech in front our good soldiers tonight.
That is all.

1. Well, the dem leadership likes the occupation too. |
|
They act like the entire world is going to explode if we begin a phased withdrawal.

8. "Well, the dem leadership likes the occupation too" -This is Ridiculous |
|
Most of the common sense Democrats like Kerry, Boxer,Kennedy,Conyers,Biden,Reid,Dean,Clark,Edwards and others have constantly demanded Bush set a timetable to withdraw.
The reason the Democrats in the senate voted for the war in Iraq was because we where all lead to believe that the President would go through the United Nations and use war as a last resort, I think we were all lead to believe that.
To say the the Dem leadership supports the occupation is a major misjudgment. The fact is the Democratic leadership has been consistent in demanding a timetable for troop withdraw in the near future, and they have been consistent in saying that America needs a plan to win the peace and bring our troops home now.

19. Are u saying the Dem leadership were fooled or tricked by *?? I don't |
|
think so. They knew exactly what the situation was. They had all the evidence available to them. Most likely, they thought that public opinion was in favor of the resolution, so they went along. Now they are stuck. They cant object too much because they were partly responsible. If you believe that the Dem leaders were fooled by *, then i have some tide land to sell u in Florida (or an election).

Look at him closely. He still talks the talk, but even he knows it's bullshit. He knows he fucked up big-time but can never admit it. He wishes Daddy could get his nuts out of the wringer, but this is not a drunk-driving ticket. Daddy can't help him.
I see a scared little boy who doesn't know what to do or where to turn, so he continues to mouth Rove's words. But he knows he's fucked. Unfortunately, so are we.

Does he plan to keep sending troops anywhere that terrorism might exist?

9. Rove recently played that card |
|
by saying Dems wanted to get a warrant for their arrest ... or something long those lines.
The fact is, every Dem **was** right. If there's a 'war on terror' (I never understood how you start a war on a concept, but that's for another time ....) it must be waged as appropriate. Not every fly needs a shotgun to bring it down.

No matter when we leave Iraq, the end will be the same, except for the number of casualties. These bastards know this is not a winable war! Same as Vietnam....

16. Isn't that a line from the G.I. Joe cartoon theme song? |
|
lyrics:
"... Yo Joe!
He'll fight for freedom wherever there is trouble, G. I. Joe is there! G. I. Joe . . . A Real American Hero G. I. Joe is there.
Its G. I. Joe against Cobra and Destro, Fighting to save the day. He never gives up, he's always there, Fighting for freedom over land and air.
G. I. Joe . . . A Real American Hero--G. I. Joe is there.
Spoken: "G. I. Joe is the codename for America's daring, highly trained, special mission force. Its purpose: To defend human freedom against Cobra, a ruthless, terrorist organization determined to rule the world."
He never gives up, he'll stay till the fight's won G. I. Joe will dare. G. I. Joe . . . A Real American Hero G. I. Joe! ..."
Really, their 1984esque, G.I. Joe codenames for everything give me the creeps, and destroy confidence--as if it were possible to have confidence in our so-called leaders--such as Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, etc. Doesn't dumbya even have code names or nicknames for everyone around him, as well? Scary, scary...
