DU ACTION Needed: BOXER stop human pesticide testing
I received an action message email from Barbara Boxer, with a deadline of Noon EDT today. The EPA is proceeding with human pesticide testing. Barbara put forward a bipartisan amendment Tuesday to reinstate a moratorium on human pesticide testing. Clinton, Snowe and Collins are the co-sponsors.

She asks that we all call/email our senators.

Barbara has set up a form letter on her website that can be used to email your senators directly. Please visit her site and learn more about this issue. And please act fast.

This is cross posted from http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/6/29/3204/38514

and looks like an immediate action alert so please cross post where
appropriate.

THX!

7. watched this on cspan this morning.
looks like it passed, enough repukes crossed over to give it the 60 votes needed. It sickens me that the 2 repuke senators from my state
voted against it (I live in NC, Dole, Burr=Worthless). The issue that
some testing would be on newborns and very young children should have
made it a no-brainer for all the repukes to have passed it. Even Delay
voted for it in the House. Frist etc... voted against it, guess we see
their true moral values on display, as they side with the pesticide
company's.

9. I signed, but...
had heard the "program" was discontinued and the EPA had wiggled out by saying the methods were flawed or some other way to make it look better for them. (?)
