Bush doesn't govern by polls
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 08:18 AM by Mortos
Then why do they trot him out with some lame ass faux-patriotic speech every time his poll numbers go in the shitter? Ask the next conservative idiot this question next time they talk about what a strong "stay the course" president he is.

Bush, like all politicians, is completely controlled by the poll numbers. When public sentiment turns against his cornerstone policy, he is in trouble. Bush is a self-proclaimed war president who started an unneccessary war that the Amerian people are quickly tiring of and questioning.

As the truth comes out and gradually seeps into the propoganda addled brains of formerly supportive Americans, Bush's numbers will fall further encouraging further dissent from supporters and those within his own party (more out of political survival than actual integrity).

The Bush/Rove playbook has become predictable and stale, even for those who supported him in the past. It may be time for some more Terra Alerts and candy colored codes to cow the American people into supporting the failing policies of this failing president.

There is a brand new ride at Conservative Patriotic Fantasyland and it is called the Schadenfreude Downward Spiral. It is a terrifying ride for war mongers, neocons and the faux patriots who support war and death without ever risking anything.

The only thing that frightens liars is being exposed(and actually fighting in a war) so buckle your seatbelt Georgie, this ride is unlike anything you have ever experienced before (accountability, responsibility and humiliation) and it will scare you more than (the thought of)sobriety.

1. Any politician who says they do not pay attention to polls is a liar.
And we know what a frightfully pathetic liar Bush is. Pathetic and pathological.

I had a Bush supporter feed me that line awhile back. I doubled over in laughter and walked away.

7. any democratically elected politician who doesn't care
what the citizens think should be booted out of office.

That also goes for the undemocratically selected.

8. I agree
I don't think following poll numbers is a bad thing. It shows you how the public is liking or not liking your work and what you're doing. If you have low poll numbers turn the other direction. It's a way to listen to the public. Why is listening to poll numbers a bad thing?

3. My mistake.
I will edit that to reflect the truth and not the public image crafted by Karl and the rest of the Goebbels media consultants.
