Hardball-"Christian Persecution" Show. Video

God's Own Circus
On Hardball last night, Chris Matthews had his celebrated "Christian Persecution" Show. Just looking at the way Tony Perkins dresses you can see just how well being persecuted pays. The "con" being perpetrated is most evident in this exchange. This gentelman's response to Chris is frightening for many obvious reasons.

Matthews: Were you—were you surprised, then, to hear that the diagnosis, that the autopsy showed that her brain had shriveled to half its size and that she was truly—I hate to use the term—in that vegetative state?

Man: That‘s up to God to determine whether we‘re in a vegetative state or not. I can‘t determine that.

1. OK, only God can determine who is braindead. In this guy's case...

3. Someday we will stop persecuting Christians
and Christians will be able to worship freely, at any church they like. They might someday be able to openly wear symbols of their faith. And someday, one might even be able to run for President.

:sarcasm:

5. Here you go! "Life In Anti-Xian America"
Both major political parties are dominated by anti-Christians. The Republican party, for example, gave us such hard-core atheists as Pat Buchanan, Dan Quayle, Phyllis Schlafly and Ronald Reagan. And the Democrats have given us such personalities as the Rev. Martin Luther King and the Rev. Jesse Jackson-- both noted for their vicious attacks on all forms of Christianity.

Let's talk about the media. On Sunday mornings, nearly all major television channels broadcast pro-atheist shows; it is nearly impossible to find religious programming during that time period. Further, Madalyn Murray O'Hair has her own cable TV channel, while Pat Robertson has been unable to obtain one for himself.

Most major newspapers run a special weekly section devoted to atheism. There are no equivalent sections for religious news.

Anti-Christian shows such as the American Atheist Forum are broadcast by major national networks. Meanwhile, Billy Graham is only able to get on the air through public access TV, which is watched by few people...

Speaking of the workplace, Christians often find it nearly impossible to get time off work for religious holidays such as Christmas.

6. Christians persecuted? HA!
I mean, come on! We elected one President, and he literally thinks he's God's gift to America.

If that's not persecution, I dont know what is.

7. I watched that show in disbelief!
Those people honestly think they are being persecuted? Sitting there in their fine clothes in a huge multimillion dollar megachurch building? On which they pay NO property taxes?

As a Christian, and one-time student of church history, let me simply suggest that if they want to know what persecution is, they need only pick up a copy of Fox's Book of Martyrs.

They think that because some people don't want to let them RUN EVERYTHING, they are being persecuted.
