Dean statement on Bush's speech
For Immediate Release
June 28, 2005

Contact: Karen Finney - 202-863-8148

DNC Chairman Howard Dean issued the following statement:

"Facing an historic opportunity for leadership, George Bush turned to the
darkness of divisiveness, attempting to garner support for his failed policies
by pandering to fear, rather than inspiring us with a plan for hope. He had an
opportunity to show the same courage our troops and their families show every
day, and he failed. We still have no clear path for success, Osama Bin Laden is
still free, and Iran and North Korea are still actively pursuing nuclear
weapons. Democrats will continue to press for answers, we will continue to
fight to ensure our troops and their families have the resources they need and
we will keep our promise to our veterans when they return home."

19. This should be very rewarding!
Dean should be quite acerbic & I will get a warm fuzzy feeling. He will pummel him on the VA shortfalls this year and next!

3. Has anyone else noticed
the cohesion in the democrats' message about Shrub's speech? It's like, OMG, we are speaking with one voice!!! Dean, Biden, Kerry, Kennedy - they've all said essentially the same thing. It's like we are communicating w/in the party and sending a unified message. Or something.

Are we getting together, finally?

7. This statement is beautiful...
It's simple, to the point, and I love it. I'm not the biggest Dean fan, but I'm really starting to love him as head of the DNC.

13. This is what I complained about last week, and Dean is doing what I wanted
Mainly, that is to say he is hammering Bush on not even having a plan to get us out of the war he started.

Enough of this "Dems have no plan" BS!

Lets hear what Bush has to offer!

Finally the corporate shill media caves, and Tweety with 'em. Lets see if he gives Dean's good plan we give him EQUAL coverage, as an appropriate answer to get us out of shithole central.

21. Minor nit to pick
Iran is not going after nuclear weapons according to Scott Ritter, who has been right about most things in the past few years. NK is a very different story.
