Where are the Abu Ghraib photos?? |
|
Weren't the previously unreleased photos supposed to be released before the end of June? Today is June 30th - did I miss something?? Or is Bush just waiting until tomorrow afternoon to release them, hoping the 4th of July will cause Americans to miss them?

2. They Got Lost in the Mail |
|
The dog ate them. Can't find them. The list will go on and on. Who are they going to get to slap their hands if they don't hand them over, the Justice Department, oops, Bush has them too.
I would expect never seeing them and if they do send them, they will be all blacked out to save face.

5. They don't want the pics releases until after July 4th |
|
Edited on Thu Jun-30-05 12:11 PM by brainshrub
Look at a calendar: If they don't release the photos today, by the time the ACLU can do anything about it, it will be past July 4th.
The most the ACLU can do on Friday is file a brief. By the time any action happens, the July 4th holiday will have passed.

6. Wouldn't they rather have them released before July 4th |

Everyone will be out of town...less people paying attention to them...seems to be theri usual strategy when there is bad news to release!

7. No, because that's when people are meeting with each other. |

You want the topics discussed over the grill to be about football and home improvement, not torture.

patriotic cheering would pretty much wash it out. During the holidays people might be able to easier justify something like this. It might make a bigger impact sometime before or after.
