"Iran is a threat to the area." Get ready. I've heard this 3 times today |
|
Sounds like the run up to the Iraq invasion all over again.

1. They'll try it, but the people won't buy it |
|
Not to say BushCo won't come up with a reason they will buy... Or worse, just invade, and explain later.
And never forget Bush's nuke memo, where he explained why he could nuke some countries, Iran included, as a first strike, without provocation. We could wak up one morning and find that Bush had murdered as many as Hitler all in one night.

2. Makes me nervous, too! |
|
I don't think they give a rat's petoot what the people think. I fear we'll wake up one morning, and they will have already invaded.

5. I am suspicous of the claim that the new Iranian president was one of the |
|
hostage takers. Wouldn't put it past them to find a few former hostages to make that claim to bolster the patriotic pride that causes people to shut off their brains and blindly follow.

Will be The Shrub's death knell. The American are getting sick of war AND ESPECIALLY FAKE REASONS TO START WARS.

7. I'm not so sure of that... |
|
after talking with the guy that cuts my grass when I'm not up to doing it myself. He said that he hopes the Iranians overthrow their own government, so we don't have to! :wow:
He's a big admirer of Shrub, and I like to bring up the subject of Iraq every now and then, just to see if his opinion has changed. It hasn't.
And to top it off, his son is in the Air Force. I hope he doesn't end up over in the Middle East. Very nice people, just Repubs. I don't get it.

9. They'd say it was to prevent disaster (of some sort) |
|
and they couldn't wait or we'd be dead or something impossible to prove and feel-good.
Smash and grab...ask forgiveness, not permission, and you can keep what you've just grabbed.
