Clark Said: "I won't be Dean's Cheney." Could He Salute to Kerry ?
Edited on Sun Jan-25-04 05:42 PM by Raya
I’m watching the Clark rally.

General Clark in answer to whether he would be Howard’s Dean’s V.P said he would not be Dean’s Dick Cheney? He said “We tried that model, with George Bush. It doesn’t work.”

Does the same apply to Kerry should Kerry beat him to the nomination?

Anyone have info on this?

Also, would Clark really help Kerry in the South or do you need an accent like Edwards or Hollings to make a difference?

5. Why snipe at Kerry that way in a thread posing a

question about the likelihood of Clark agreeing to run for VP if Kerry's the nominee?

All ticket predictions are hypothetical at this point, but Kerry has won Iowa and is leading in NH, so it's not unthinkable that he could be the nominee.

6. clark has stated
that he doesn't want to be VP at all. he got into this race to be president, not vice. As far as the ticket goes I'm seeing either Kerry/Edwards (young old contrast) or Clark/Edwards (2 southerners like clinton/gore) or Edwards/Graham or Dean/Graham. but they could always pick someone out of the blue as well.

7. Edwards has said the same think. Clark seem to respect Kerry.
Am I wrong. Any Clark insiders online?

9. I want Clark on the ticket, preferably first.
But I seriously doubt he'll go for VP. He's trying his best to bring sanity back to our country by doing something he and Gert had deep reservations about, running for president. I think they'll go back to a normal life if Democrats can't get a clue and recognize what a wonderful gift he is to our party and country.

15. Yup
He MIGHT ride shotgun for JFK, but that would be it, and it's a longshot. He got in the race to change the country - rescue it from *. He can't really do that for the 2nd chair, and in fact being VP would be a major step down from being NATO SACEUR. I don't see this happening.

Also, JFK has attacking Clark pretty vigorously, kinda burning that bridge even if Wes were amenable.
