How did the White House react to Novak's article? |
|
Did they refute what he said about "two senior administration officials" giving him the info re. Valerie Plame?
Did they call him a liar or whatever?
If not, then it would seem that the White House and Novak have some sort of arrangement or agreement in place.

1. Novak and the White House in cahoots??? |
|
Next you'll be telling me that Rush Limbaugh and Matt Drudge both get the same talking points.
I think they just ignored it and waited for it to go away.
They're still doing that, actually.

3. What's bothering me is that Novak is apparently getting off scot-free |
|
HE is the guy who publicly revealed Plame's identity. He is the guy who said that it was "two senior administration officials" who gave him that information.
What bothers me most of all is that because there is apparently no legal pressure being put on him, we might not ever know the true culprits. If a prosecutor were to, say, threaten him with 10 years in prison, Novak would be singing every song in the book. But that doesn't seem to be the case.

but the WH, to my recollection, was always mum on the story regarding Novak. So it's like you are suggesting, or maybe it is just standard operating procedure to never say anything about "friendly" sources. This waiting has really got me knotted up; I want that small hole in the dike (no reference to any of Bush gang) to open up and spill the ocean of lies and filth everywhere.
