If that's the way it works, then why are NY and DC so damn Blue?

5. We shall see
this will be a turning point though, that seems certain. Accordingly I hope all Democrats, and all liberal minded people wherever they are, KNOW which way we should be turning.

Last year, serious terrorist incidents TRIPLED. The Bush "War on Terror" is a bull market for terrorism, while his economy not coincidentally, remains stuck on "Bear". We are going bankrupt financing his insane war on abstract nouns. Get rid of him. Get rid of Blair. This is not civilization, but how it ends in chaos.

2. Believe me, no one is going to turn pro-war after today.
That's simply not going to happen.

21. No, no chance.
Tony Blair better watch what he says. It's not a question of whether he tries to use the attacks for political gain, it's to what degree he'll stoop, but if he blatantly uses this to justify his actions on Iraq or to denounce opposition to our involvement there, it'll go down very badly. Not even people who supported the Iraq invasion at the time will buy it.

4. We'll see. Remember Spain. The government was so corrupt blaming ETA
when it was really Al-Queda. Britain has a large aristocratic class that supports the british empire.

9. Do you seriously believe
That even if the French were to do something as horrendous as this they could organize it and pull it off in less than twenty-four hours? I think it's as credible as blaming PNAC to divert us from Bush's continuing inability to ride a bicycle.

12. Doesn't elicit any sympathy?
Just your thoughts? They are heartless.

Do you seriously think the French are going to bomb London over the Olympics?

no,I dint truly believe the French did it..nor do I believe Osama did it.This is too small a job.My better guess is its connected to the Hirari guy from Lebanon. Wes,chimp has made the USA and UK pariah nations,a scourge to the world. Were you surprised london was attacked? I was because i thought for sure an American city would be hit...thanks again for the welcome

7. Thankfully, Brits are not nearly as stupid as Americans
They know exactly why the fuck they got bombed.

Its because they bombed a muslim nation for no reason

13. For God's sake could people stop SAYING that?
If we state that x behavior led to result y, that does not mean that x DESERVED result y.

Jesus. Look, if a kid rides a bike into the street - forgetting to look both ways, and that behavior leads to her being hit and killed by a semi, would ANY sane individual ask whether she DESERVED to get killed? I hope to God not. But one MIGHT say that she got killed because she rode her bike into the street, or more probably because she was distracted/forgetful.

14. They actually have a free press
I don't think they're going to drink the kool-aid that the sheeple in the U.S. have...

I think the pressure on Blair to get out of Iraq will intensify...

16. Well, to be fair, it's those selfsame sheeple I was referring to
as those who think "Well NOW they'll understand and support the war."

Just like New York did. Uh huh.

...hopefully the brits will go the way of the Spaniards and get the hell out of Iraq.
They were trending that way anyway, this might speed things up.

20. Blair will bend it like Bush... to avoid more attacks?
Ever consider that maybe this bombing was a complete surprise to Blair? That possibly, its source was threatening him over his abandoment of Bush policies at G8?

Sort of leaving Bush out there all by himself...Bush against the world....awww, sux being Bush sometimes.

18. Brits are smarter than Americans.
They'll probably conclude it's time to take the fight to Afghanistan and make bin Laden a priority.
