Republicans want to execute humans faster
The party that values life wants to limit appeals for death row inmates so they can kill them quicker. The same party that values life, whose members shrug off the thousands and thousands of deaths caused by that party's policies. The party of love who wants to prevent people who love each other from getting married.

1. Don't be deceived by their rhetoric
there is nothing good or enduring about these people. They are all business and that business is the almighty dollar....

6. They want everyone dead except (1) themselves,
(2) able to work and passive slaves. All others, "out of here", you cost too much money.

3. Dp
I am actually for the death penalty, but only for heinous
murder crimes, and only after convicted beyond a reasonable doubt
and I dont think that it should go on and on, the victims
suffer in that case.
People like that should not be allowed to live on our expense
in jail.

8. Extradite them to monster island with only thier clothing and a knife...
Hey, how do you really determine what is horrible enough? Isn't that what they're doing now?

How about this. Take away the death penalty, focus on rehabilitation for first time offenders, stay with the sentences already in place for violent crimes, and lower the sentences for crimes such as marijuana possession.

It's a no brainer. A compassionate society does not murder its own citizens no matter who they are.

5. This is significant.

"You see delays in death penalty cases where they are allowed to drag on for 15 or even 25 years. Defense attorneys have come to believe the longer they delay, the better it is for their clients," Lungren said in an interview.

The defense attorneys are right. How many of their clients have been freed upon discovery of new evidence or prosecutorial malfeasance after sitting of death row for years? With speedy executions, the chance of such discoveries are greatly reduced, reducing the chance of embarrassment of politically hungry DAs.

In my state, the DA who prosecuted many of our death row inmates is now the governor who decides on clemency for those same inmates. You think he is likely to rule against his own office's decision of ten years ago?

ON EDIT -
And that's a red-state Dem governor.

7. I'm against the Death Penalty, it's an easy out for the criminal
As an atheist, I believe that when you die, you just die. No eternal hellfire, just the big sleep. A more fitting punishment would be life w/o parole. Let them contemplate their wrongs every day, knowing they will NEVER be free again.

is a very totalitarian philosophy.

10. My family was having a conversation like that last weekend
At a dinner for my grandma's birthday. My brother, father, and I all heard the conversation from our end of the table and just kinda shared disgusted looks.

Comments like

"They have it too good and too easy"

"Convict you today, execute you the next morning"

And other BS like that.
