Would a lurking free republic member help a veteran out?
I'd like to know why your egos, your mouths and your false sense of patriotism are so blatantly inflated, looming large over your domain, while your brains and cocks are so itsy bitsy. Why do you buy every reason for the iraq war the white house feeds you and yet you stay away in droves from the Army Recruiting Office? Is pussified part of conservative DNA? Are you such cowards that you have to act manly or do you have to act manly because you are such cowards? I think free republic should go full tilt boogey on the young republican sissy boys and insist they enlist to, by god, show the world what real by god republicans are made of. If not, vets like me will just have to sit back and wonder what its like to go through life with a false ego and a real life itsy bitsy pencil dick that only a good christian conservative girl would find fetching. Or are you so ashamed of your manhood that you've decided to remain in the closet knowing no self respecting gay guy would want you? Please help this old vet out. I feel it is my responsibility to understand what today's conservative movement is all about.

8. Who complain about high taxes then immediately
suck on the Gov't teat for federal aid when their houses get ripped to shit by hurricanes year after year. Off-topic, yes, but I support eliminating disaster aid for people that insist on living in disaster areas and rebuilding every year.

6. are there no women on FRee Republic?
Is there any reason why Republican women can't enlist? If they do not can we make fun of their bodies and/or their sexual inadequacies?

14. I feel free to do so
to the male members of FR since they strut what they don't have. Yes, women can enlist. My wife is a veteran. She's a liberal. My father in law landed on Omaha Beach 6 June 1944 and he was a liberal prior to his death last year. My three brothers in law are badass conservative pro war republicans. The number of days of military service between the three of them - ZERO! I have observed a trend in this country for years. The more conservative one tends to project, the less likely one is to project their body parts in defense of our country. I have no qualms about making fun of such body parts.

You said what I would have said if I could express it as well as you! As your fellow veteran and your fellow Mississippian, but most of all as your fellow DU'er, I salute you.

17. Thanks, MelissaB....
I'm originally from Georgia, so I guess that counts as double neighbors. I hope you stay safe & dry if you're in the hurricane's path. Seems like they've had it in for Alabama & Florida lately.

9. Speaking from experience...

...generally the diminutive genetalia thing isn't going to work for a good fraction of those people who, uhm, know where they stand, let's just say.

I'm not being crabby about the vulgarity -- whatever floats your boat, I guess. I'd suggest the impotence angle would be better if you want to goad their sense of manhood, though. FWIW.

11. You are so correct!!!
I'm a vet, and I do NOT see Republican Hitler Youth lining up at recruiting stations. "Other priorites" I guess. But if you are ABLE and DO NOT put your ASS on the line when the country is calling, you are not REALLY an American!!!

15. This is just a guess but...
Edited on Sat Jul-09-05 05:31 PM by Heaven and Earth
Rejection of both reason and God has caused them to glorify romanticized notions of human nature, which ultimately results in the identification with the collective self of the nation or race.

At the same time, humans have both the will to power and the will to survive, so they will participate in symbols of the collective power, but their will to live is not completely subsumed. This can vary in degrees. I know one guy like this who claims to have tried twice to sign up, but injuries prevented him both times. Furthermore, he says that he wants to be on the front lines killing terrorists, but because he is in college, he would be sent to logistics or some other area. I think he could get what he claims to want if he tried again now, but anyway...

Anyone who does not agree with them becomes the other and a threat to the collective.

On edit: and no, I am not a lurking freeper. I defy any of them to spell "romanticized" on the first try without looking it up:)
