evidently said something about Iraq blowback. To her credit, Christianne Amanpour said there are many here who think it was only a matter of time before something like this happened when Blair signed on with Bush for the war in Iraq.

That talk was within the last month. She has a lot of popularity. With CNN's ratings sagging, they'd be crazy not to give her more air time. She's been on a lot more lately. Have you noticed? it's like they're easing her back in - but not fast enough for me. She's terrific.

I think that they went to college together (Brown). Also, Christianne is married to Jamie Rubin who worked in the Clinton administration. He left his job to be a stay-at-home dad when Christianne had a baby in her 40's. They now live in London.

Also of interest is the fact that Christianne is of Iranian heritage. If I'm not mistaken, she still has family there. She has also been outspoken in the past about the weakness of the media's coverage of this administration. I can't remember the exact context of what she said, but it was quite controversial at the time.

mark shields does an ok job. keith olbermann is good but im not sure he is a journalist per se
other people are worth watching also (rachel maddow) but again they arent usually journalists

that would be wonderful news if christianne is being "brought back" on tv with cnn
