I just got back from Democracy for America training
DFA Grassroots Organizing training held in Northern Virginia this weekend and it was great! More than 150 people for sessions happening yesterday and today. There were session on campaign finance, volunteer recruitment, retention and administration, media relations, message development. It was intense but people were excited to be there and a lot of great work got done.

I'm from a very red area of Virginia and it was so nice to be among so many Democrats!

3. Congratulations!
I've been through a couple of training seminars...Camp Wellstone was the last one...and it's fantastic to see so many people energized and involved.

You have that Gubernatorial race this year so you can put this training to good use a year before most of the rest of us. Keep the enthusiasm going!

5. Was it led by Chris Warshaw or Jim Dean?
That sounds so great. I hear the sessions are intense.

at a speech in the evening.

Wonderful day!

7. I heard that was great. One thing interested me about it..
"What: Democracy for Tennessee convention will offer panels, workshops, and campaign training by political experts from across the state.

Who: Featured speakers include Jim Dean, chairman of Democracy for America, and Bob Tuke, chairman of the Tennessee Democratic Party. State Sen. Rosalind Kurita and U.S. Rep. Harold Ford Jr., both seeking the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate in 2006, will also address the group."

I heard it was inspiring. I was interested to see Harold Ford speak at a DFT event. I was glad to read it, but he is the one who said he would not be asking Howard to appear with him, that he disagree with him. I guess he thinks Jim is ok, and the DFT group is ok, though. (Just kidding there. A little tongue in cheek humor. It was a good thing.)
;)

BTW, DFT looks like one of the most active DFAs of all. Proud of them.
