3. Yeah, remember he was going to ask them to "open the spigots"
Guess that question got forgotten while he was tiptoeing through the bluebells with the Prince.

6. What cracked me up on that line was...
... since when did we need to elect a President simply to "ask" another country to do us a favor?

Shouldn't an ambassador (appointed by any convenient President) be able to handle that task?

Bush was offering to micromanage himself, and yet people fell for it.

9. He* wasn't going to "ask", he* was gonna "jawbone" them. And I for one,
think that's why jimjeff ganuckert was brought in for, so bush* could practice "jawboning".

12. Ah, yes. He was going to "jawbone"
I forgot the obligatory folksy speech that he throws in there for all the people who'd like to have a beer with him.

5. I think they only guaranteed him lower prices...
for the election cycle. They wanted his re-election. Once re-elected, they probably cut him/us loose to fend on our own. He's a lame duck now, anyway.

7. No, it was about higher profits for his corporate buddies.
This administration has presided over the complete sell out of our
people, our environment and our future stabilitly to his friends
in plush offices.

8. For the past couple weeks
Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 11:23 AM by stellanoir
everytime I've been getting gas and whenever anyone else is pumping at the same time, I smile and say cheerfully, "Aren't you glad we invaded Iraq?"

Some people shirk their heads, others roll their eyes, and some people miss the sarcasm entirely.

Yesterday I paid $2.59 per gallon. Oh joy.

Bet with these greedy bozos in charge, it'll hit 5 bucks before long

10. The Saudis only have 3-5 years worth of oil left
I can't remember where I read it but it was a british source saying that SA is a peak oil now. They won't have any left to send * in that time frame. Good thing it will take 25 billion to get the Iraqi oil fields going again.
