Which state has the absolute dumbest congressional delegation?
My odds on favorite is Oklahoma, but I don't want to prejudice the selection process. I sure many of us think that our congresman or senator has something Special to offer, but which entire delegation rises to the level of being a true public embarrassment?

1. I was thinking Oklahoma, too.
They'd be hard to beat.

3. They do seem to be the class of the field
But Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Arizona also show real promise. And what about Texas. Any delegation that boasts Tom Delay and John Cornyn has got to be counted as a serious threat to the health of the Republic.

2. I dunno,,,, With Musgrave & Allard grabbing more press with the
anti-gay marriage Constitutional amendments than the rest of our delegation ~ plus they both spoke out during the Schiavo intervention ~ Colorado looks pretty dumb!! and pleeeze don't get me started on Salazar,,,, MY vote is for Colorado!!

Thos floor speeches by Inhofe about Global Warming being just a theory and there being no real proof for it are just ludicrous. (How is the OK House delegation?)

Coburn must have some brains, he did make it through medical school. But he hasn't (thank whatever gods you reverence) done anything yet in Congress. But Inhofe is a real piece of work.

BTW, which one has the smartest delegation?

5. True public embarrasment?
True public embarrasment? - Try Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, New Hampshire and Vermont who have never elected a female to either the US House of Representatives or the US Senate.

6. Mine! North Carolina's absolutely SUCKS!
We got Walter B. Jones "Mr. Freedom Fries" who also wants to give ministers a free pass to politic from the pulpit.

We got Robin Hayes who is still swearing up and down that Saddam planned, financed, and personally carried out 9-11.

We got Charles Taylor "Chainsaw Charlie" who never say a national forest that didn't need trimming and owns banks in Russia. Very dirty finances.

10. Hasn't Mr. Freedom Fries been redeeming himself lately?
I cut him some slack for coming out against the neocons.

12. True about WBJ, Hayes & Taylor, plus Myrick and Foxx... but they're
almost balanced out by the other half of the ticket:

Watt, Price and Miller are pretty good; Bobby E and McIntyre come through on occasion....

According to the article by reporter Elana Schor, the student, Elizabeth Beck, of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, said McHenry warned her that he would not help her or her school’s College Republicans group in the future unless she voted for Gourley.

7. Iowa has to get some mention here.
See post #5 for starters. ?
Then add House Budget Chairman Jim Nussle (R-Hypocrit)

And do I even have to remind everyone here that Charles (I mow my lawn with three tractors at a time) Grassley hails from Iowa!

Thank GOD for Tom Harkin! :loveya:

8. Alaska, hands down.
Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 02:32 PM by Steve_DeShazer
I've said to myself,

Self, Rise thyself above yon posts which shall seek to demean and Ridicule Others.

But one often finds such questions irresistable.

This one self nominates the Alaska delegation in answer to your important question.

I offer the following as proof:

"People who vote against this today are voting against me and I will not forget."
Senator Ted Stevens, R-Of course

"Environmentalists are a socialist group of individuals that are the tool of the Democrat Party. I'm proud to say that they are my enemy. They are not Americans, never have been Americans, never will be Americans."
Rep. Don Young, R-Hater

"I have never once asked Alaskans to like how I got this job."
Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Appointedbydad

9. IMO.. No one should be throwing stones...
in a country where a full 51% of those who voted (supposedly) elected the arguably stupidest President this country has ever had.

No offense meant, but what purpose does a thread like this serve in our Party? Just this morning someone here was complaining that Kos had a "Circular Firing Squad" mentality.

Just a thought.
