Was Rove getting tired of relative obscurity? |
|
Just thinking.
For someone who has been the creator of so much strategy etc at such high levels, maybe on occasion Rove longs for the spotlight, for a public recognition of his diabolical genius.}(
Maybe he doesn't even know consciously that this is so, but he has been at times amazingly sloppy in the trail he has left wrt the Plame outing. i.e. the direct contact with Cooper etc.:smoke:
Or is it just plain pride, as in Pride goeth before the fall? :nopity:
Actually I think it could be a bit of both.

1. Interesting thought - I've wondered the same. |
|
He's definitely been increasing his public profile as of late.
Maybe he's of the mind that there is no such thing as bad publicity. In this case, I'd suggest that he's wrong.

Maybe he has raised it cause he anticipated it being raised anyhow by the Plame case.
Maybe he was trying to get ahead of the "game."

3. I was personally hoping that he wasn't raising it to eventually run... |
|
for public office, etc.
I don't think that's going to happen now, though stranger things have occurred.
